There was a lot of good questions asked in the original submission thread. I remember trying to ask specific design questions (about part choices/etc) and usually like always never selected. It’s one of the reasons why I’m not going to submit any questions anymore. It’s a bit pointless to ask a question we know the answer to or have an idea of how it’ll be answered. They generally do not want to answer questions about specific part choices.

We've asked Bill about Triple H flashbacks in many Q&A's. He's not going to reveal an unannounced figure. Also I don't recall this question being submitted. I know I did. I would just like to know *why* they won't address this oft-requested figure, and instead flood the Fan Central vote with different options, or release a street clothes AE Flashback they had to know everyone would be hoping was hHh. I wouldn't be shocked if hHh makes an appearance in the upcoming Ultimate Edition line. They're well aware collectors are foaming at the mouth for the figure.

Where are the Rock N Roll express figures? or the Freebirds? They cannot really give an answer to "when will (insert unannounced superstar here) be released" questions so we try to avoid those. In the case of someone like Bobby Lashley there were an overwhelming amount of requests for him so we had to throw that one in. Maybe worded as As very recent inductees to the WWE HOF, is there any chance of The Freebirds or RNR Express being made yet? If not is it the WWE holding things up or Mattel hesitant to committing to old school tag teams Something along those lines anyway

We have asked about this in past Q&A's and it sounds like it's entirely up to WWE. I understand ... but I still think it would be relevant to go a bit more in-depth as to why they absolutely can't even consider signing outside guys when they did before ... if it's coming from up top at Mattel or is a WWE edict ... and if there's anything further that can be done about it, because a lot of former talent hates the legends deals (can be restrictive with appearances, not much money to sign over their rights, etc.). Not that they probably would have answered it anyways, and not blaming you guys at all for the other non-answers.

Bill's most honest answer was about ancillary accessories for the retros. That's exactly the type of info that I hope to get from these Q&As.

I'm just guessing that Bill and the Mattel Design Team don't have a lot to do with the business end of signing new Legends. Since Steve is on the Marketing team maybe he would have more insight but this was a Q&A with all Design team.

Here is the gist of what was said in the Q&A: RSC Exclusive Matt (2008 WWECW era) will come with a removable tank top; the top would've been shown at SDCC, but it got lost in transit to the show There is something special planned for Basic Series 100; the most popular, most beloved Superstars of the line will be recognized Dude Love story will not be told UNTIL it reaches retail stores and is on sale so people can actually buy it; Bill doesn't want to take any chances Elite Pat Patterson will come with a normal head and a screaming face to commemorate the RAW episode when The Stooges beat up The Mean Street Posse Retro Women and Tag Teams are always possible The success of 5-per-wave Basics will continue to be evaluated; they want to minimize the amount of figures hanging on the pegs An Elite scale entrance stage is under development, but it may not look like the ones shown at Axxess and SDCC most recently TRU stores closing has had an effect on their business and they will be missed by the folks at Mattel There are always opportunities for more Jinder Mahal figures to be released; as long as he's prominent on TV, there will be others besides the ME Ring exclusive Bill shoots down Zack Ryder's request for an Elite Edgeheads 3-Pack (or Elite Edge with interchangeable heads of Zack and Curt) Give it a couple more months for work to be done on an Elite Bobby Lashley; there is still a need for tooling, deco, and mold processing to be finished on his sculpt Figures of WWE Referees would depend on who's signed or available to them Target's NXT line is continuing; Bill just approved those Elites that were shown in the case at SDCC Even if the Target NXT line were to go away someday, there will always be NXT figures in the line RSC Exclusive Kurt Angle (Shield gear) will not be available anywhere else and there are no other Shield versions of Angle coming in the future nWo 2002 figures will most likely be made; no reason for there not to be some of them Red Rooster will be out soon - after Shark sells through, it will be an exclusive to Target (likely online only) The new face printing tech will roll out to the Core (Basic) line, as well as Battle Packs and Elites, in the waves yet to come There is always a chance of more Legends-per-wave in the Elite line (Backlund and Sherri are mentioned); it is out of their hands if talent is not under contract It's about having a balance (modern and classic names in the same wave) and offering something for everyone Elites of U.K. wrestlers are possible as long as they have the rights to them (Pete Dunne is a favorite of Rob's and Bill agrees) The Best of Attitude Era Elites will continue as long as they sell; HHH is based on the RAW episode the night after WrestleMania XIV Retro Legends will continue to be made They will make celebs and sports figures (Tyson and Mr. T, for example) if they have the opportunity (which they haven't yet had) An NXT Corey Graves in ring gear isn't planned now, but it's possible; if it did happen, it would probably not be a main line release An Elite Mick Foley with "Barbie" is probably not going to be made; play accessories like those in the RSC Exclusive 10-Piece Hardcore Accessory Playset are off the radar for now There will be more Elites of the women in WWE, what with their Walgreens program, Target NXT line, and the main line Elites (among others) It's only a matter of time for Sarah Logan Any chance of getting "Neon Cowboy" Macho Man figures with a unique shirted torso instead of a removable shirt? "Sure" Retro-size accessories to go with the ring (like entrance stages) are possible, but probably not anytime soon because they will take away from the budget for the Retro figures If fans take a liking to some of the new Retro molds being introduced, they'll focus on them instead of the jumper mold if that's what the fans prefer A Mid-90's Taker with hair covering its face is possible if enough people want it; it probably won't be for a little bit (Bill then says maybe in a couple years) They'd love to do more Golden Age managers and personalities if they're under deals; Rob likes Gorilla Monsoon, and Vince McMahon's name is mentioned

That sucks then, we can’t get answers to questionable decisions in the line, but get answers to things we already know. I’m not bothering with the next q&a. The fact that Mattel doesn’t want to answer these type of questions says a lot imo.

I really don’t get the face print technology on Basics figures question. We had SummerSlam Basics at retail well before SDCC that utilized this tech already
Kurt and Shane. Not sure about the others, but those two horribly off to me, but it is that tech right?

An Elite scale entrance stage is under development, but it may not look like the ones shown at Axxess and SDCC most recently They got my question about the stage! Sweet.

That's cool that they are thinking of expanding the retro line with tag teams and women, really hope we get tag teams that weren't made in the Hasbro line (Hart Foundation, Power & Glory, Powers of Pain, British Bulldogs, Rhythm and Blues, etc.). Also good that Retro legends will continue, I just wish it was more than 1 per wave. Also nice that they are trying out new molds, hopefully that will continue in the future. Not sure if I would buy a referee figure, would probably only purchase a Hebner or Marella figure. Need more neon cowboy Macho's, especially during his Macho King run (WM 6, SummerSlam 90, SNME vs Dusty, SNME attacks Ultimate Warrior, ROYAL RUMBLE 91, among others). Definitely would like more Golden Era managers and personalities, Mr. Fuji, Slick, announcers Gorilla Monsoon, Vince McMahon, and Jesse Ventura would be nice.

Probably the most boring q & a i've sever seen.
There were lots of good questions not asked.
Why bother selecting the Jinder question about if we'll see him released by himself in the future. That was such a pointless question to pick. Obviously they're not gonna say "yeah he'll be realeased in the next month or two" because they want people to purchase the Smackdown ring. If he's still part of the roster in the future, then why wouldn't he be released?

Not that the q&as are ever great, but this might be the worst one of all time. The action figure attack instagram q&a was way better. I think he should answer the questions from now on as his responses seem slightly less corporate and more collector based, but still don’t give too much away.
Also does Noel do this for free? Because I have no idea why she keeps being used for the q&as. For the love of God, can we please get someone who is a collector to ask these questions? It really hurts that we don’t have a collector for follow up questions.
I’ll save everyone 23 minutes who hasn’t watched it yet. If they are on the roster or have a legends contract there is always a chance of them getting a figure. That’s it.
