some quotes from the falcons forum which i completly agree with Oh well. I'll still wear my Vick jersey to spite everyone. I still support him even if he is convicted. Dog fighting is in no way on the same level as Charles Manson, James Earl Ray and Son of Sam. That is where people are being irrational. In reality, drinking and driving is worse because PEOPLE actually die from it. People do not die from dog fighting. And another thing, Pitbulls are like bobcats, they are totally unpredictiable and there is no need for them in society. They kill and mange many people yearly, they have genetic defects that give them their aggression. Dogfighting is something I would not participate in, but it is not serial killing.They are aggressive, but no one cares about that. So IMO, dog fighting is not the end all crime. I think dog fighting is disgusting....but in no way, shape or form as serious as they are making it. If Michael gets anything more than 4 games over this it will point out that they were merely trying to make an example of him. So, you're actually trying to rationalize a millionaire football star hosting dog fighting? You must not have any pets. Animals are living and breathing forms of life. Saying that just because humans are not being hurt in this entire situation makes it better is just assinine. |

They have been cracking down on cock fights but Dog Fighting has been underground so much I rarely see busts for them anymore
I dont know if they will crack down harder on them seeing as Rappers have been found in dog fighting but I believe that status isn't anywhere near Vick's now that I think about it.

This man possibly killed animals using a gun, strangling, and drowning them. No, this does not make Michael Vick the next Charles Manson however nearly every serial killer ever started out by killing animals because they put no value on LIFE whether it is an animal or person. I'm not saying that Vick is a serial killer in the making however it takes one very messed up guy to look an animal (no matter what it is) in the face and shoot it/drown it/etc. Many people have pitbulls as loving pets who show no signs of aggression. Alot of how many pitbulls act is dependant on how people think they act and treat them. |
