How'd all that whining work out Lorenzo? I stand by my comments. Farnspenis made that game closer than it had to be and we risk losing the game everytime we are forced to use him.

Without Francona Lorenzo your whining might have worked, but we have the worst in game manager ever, who lets his players dictate how the team should be run

Without Francona Lorenzo your whining might have worked, but we have the worst in game manager ever, who lets his players dictate how the team should be run That's true....even the YES announcers had no idea why Beckett was in there pitching with a 7 game lead in a division that late in a ballgame. With the Red Sox having the best bullpen ERA in the league and with what Beckett's pitch count was, it wasn't a real smart idea to keep him in there.

It'd be one thing if Francona was just trying to save the pen and if the game was out of hand...which neither was. He made 2 bullpen moves after.
The worst man, by far the worst, he even said Beckett told him he was ok so he listened.
Like why are you the manager then?

Ralpho i want to ask you a question, Not from a Yankees to Sox fan but just baseball to baseball. If Boston loses tomorrow and is swept by the Yankees (Still having a 5 game lead though) Do you think that will hurt the Red Sox comming down the stretch?? Or do you think the Sox will keep rolling right into the playoffs without skipping a beat?

As soon as TRW said he was actually rooting for the Mets in this series, I had a feeling the Phillies would wind up winning it, lol.

No the Red Sox still arent losing the division even if they lose tomorrow, it will help the Yankees momentum for the WC, but both teams have such a weak schedule, so the Red Sox are not gonna lose a 10 game swing and let the Yankees win 10 or so.

Buster Olney brought up the idea that the A's are just gonna tear the team apart and move Chavez, Harden etc and Chavez could be the consolation prize in the A-Rod/Lowell sweepstakes for teams

Tired of repeated warnings falling on deaf ears, The Post has learned Bob Watson entered the Red Sox dugout during last night's game to talk to Terry Francona about not wearing a uniform jersey while managing. Francona opts for a red pullover, which is sanctioned by MLB properties. Upon seeing baseball's top cop, who was ushered into the dugout by an MLB resident security agent, Francona snapped at Watson. "Get out of the dugout during the game," Francona firmly told Watson, who left.
I hate Francona as a manager, but I sure do love the guy and his Hick-balls
