This is the place for any general chat about wrestling games that may not need its own thread, also a place to just chat it up with others that share the same interests in video games as you.
Have fun!

I spent two hours translating names and correcting attires in VPW2 tonight.
I should probably print that translation guide. It's very hard to read on my old phone.

is no mercy playable online through Project64 or another emulator? if so, we should have our own tournament!

Hot take: save for a few minor features like running grapples and such, I find that I much prefer WrestleMania 2000 to No Mercy.

I don't remember how long ago it was, but WWE in recent years re-released WrestleFest, but with the current roster. The idea was cool, but I never cared for that game. Instead, I wish they would re-make WrestleMania: The Arcade game with today's roster. Now THAT would be cool!

The DS versions of the games are good placeholders, but they're difficult to stand on their own.

Recently picked up Smackdown vs Raw 2009, and having a good amount of fun, the game visually actually looks really good for being over 10 years old. Relearning the button system though is the tough part, completely different controller setup.

You know what is crazy? That during the 8-bit days of gaming, the first WWF Super Stars was the best of all the WWF games on the NES, Master System and Game Boy! It had the best graphics by far, the promos from the wrestlers and Vince McMahon made it more like the actual WWF than any other game, plus it had a control scheme that while limited worked to the systems advantages.
I really enjoyed WrestleMania Challenge on the NES as a kid, but I wish that LJN took that first engine from WWF Super Stars and ran with it, I would loved to have seen what could have been done had that been expanded on in a sequel or even as a port on the NES with color!

I agree with this, No Mercy to me always felt alot slower in gameplay when compared to it's previous N64 counterparts, it doesn't help that Wrestlemania 2000 felt like WCW/nWo Revenge but with a WWF coat of paint on it and that's a good thing seeing as Revenge was my favourite of the four games. That and WM 2000 had full entrances instead of just ending on the ramp, a small thing i know but i enjoy watching them before engaging in battle, presentation and all that sh3t. The Big Show being in is one thing but WM 2000 also gave us the timeless legend himself.. BLUE.. FING.. MEANIE. Come at me!..

WWF WarZone was the best even before I was a wrestling fan.
