Frankly, I’m happy to see this stupid line die. I’m not one to be overly negative when it comes to Mattel, but the way Goldberg has been handled by them by day one is crap. It’s like they know he only has so many looks that they can/or are willing to make and they gotta grab every extra cent in doing so. First it was the ring, now this fairly simple figure is in the EG line. Now they did the EG thing with the first Angle, but since have given him a standard elite (that is light years better than the EG) as well as a handful of basics. Goldberg gets one figure with a $100 ring and a premium line release for a figure without any accessories and a title belt. I’ll most likely buy this Goldberg but I’m done after that. I don’t care what they do, I’ll pay $30 for the EG Goldberg and never another cent for any other Mattel Goldy. Also happy for eg to go away. As someone who went back and bought ted, piper and taker I was hoping it would return. I wanted it for the unique entrance attires we wouldn’t get otherwise. Sticking normal elites in the box that costs an arm and a leg to ship wasn’t what I wanted. I’m soooo glad you brought this up, which I totally forgot about. So Mattel brings back the EG line, only to make them different (elite instead of basic) while giving LESS accessories than the first time around. How does that many any sense other than laziness? There is literally no point to the line (to collectors) if the figs are lacking accessories. That’s the point of the line to the majority of us. I got that Mattel thinks the music box is the draw but I doubt there’s a single collector who cares. The only people I see liking the boxes are kids and I highly doubt they’re the ones buying a figure for $30+ retail. Their parents included. |

The fact this figure has taken 2 and a bit years to release and this is what we get is really a slap in the face. People already got ripped off with the £100 ring that wasnt even accurate but have now got to pay £33 for an "entrance great" figure that is just a straight repaint with even LESS Deco!
And whoever thought Goldberg should be displayed with a belt over his shoulder (which I'm almost certain he never made his entrance with it over the shoulder) should be ashamed. It seems the smallest thing they can't get right. It's happening more and more.
I won't be buying this Goldberg. I'll wait for a basic with a better head and swap it onto a triple h with Austin boots.

I can't believe they've packed him with the belt over his shoulder and in the most boring pose possible - it's like they know people will buy this anyway, so they're not even trying, lol... how hard would it have been to put the belt on his waste and pose him with his arms raised (like he does during his entrance)? Would have looked badass if they had duplicated the spark effect on the inside of the box. You have keep brand identification up amongst the line, sure, but having that look MOC would have made the $25-$30 purchase worth it. ...Defining Moments would have done that and it would have looked great...  |

This along with Dude Love might be the only figures I get the rest of this year. Will all the sub lines and exclusive lines I just can't be bothered anymore.

It's frustrating, they couldn't put the belt around his waist and the text on the base looks like something you could glue on from an MS Paint printout. For a long awaited figure, eh.

Pretty accurate Goldberg figure. I wish for the EG price tag it had another accessory like a cloth "Who's next?" t-shirt but that didn't stop me from pre-ordering.

Why did they not put the WCW sign above his name on that music stand? Instead a WCW Goldberg figure based on 1997 has a 2016 head and current wwe sign.
I cannot believe they used the same head. It's the absolute height of laziness.

Not even that, but the head looks like a baboon/gorilla from the side instead of Goldberg. Mattel really needs to amp up their Goldbergs.
