For those who don’t know, on July 14, 1984 Vince McMahon took over the time slot on Superstation WTBS that had been home to Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW) and its flagship weekly program, World Championship Wrestling, for 12 years. But the GCW audience didn’t like the style of the WWF wrestlers and demanded that their Georgia Championship Wrestling back. Soon they got their wish as Vince McMahon sold it to Jim Crockett Promotions which would lead to the Monday Night Wars. But what if the GCW fans liked it? What if Vince had been able to keep the time slot and run his wrestling on it? How would the wrestling world be today if the Black Saturday incident was successful?
