I was expecting Braun to sprint to the back and snatch the briefcase back from Corbin for a cash in.
Not sure if I like the fact that he's officially cashed it in for HIAC

Not sure turning Braun was a great idea. Crowd seemed to really be behind him. But at his size, I guess it sorta makes sense.
Had no real complaints with RAW tonight.

Vince once again believes that if they turn the number 1 good guy fans love to cheer heel, then fans will cheer on Roman Reigns.
Here's the thing, Vince needs to remember what made Braun Strowman get cheered.... it was kicking Roman's ass constantly every week!
Fans will still cheer Braun and boo Roman, and Vince still won't understand why.

I just find it funny is the span of about a week, WWE takes two big fan favorites, Becky and Braun, and tries to turn them heel.

Just a reminder
Roman beat Braun at Fastlane 2017 all by himself Roman beat Braun at Payback 2017 all by himself
Glad we get to revisit this once again and we had to turn Braun heel in the process 👍

Very depressing that after the organic build Braun has grown and genuinely getting the crowd so strongly behind him, it looks like he might just end up being used as the first hurdle for Roman to get through on his title run.

Wow...They made Braun heel again...
You know, there’s not a whole lot of babyfaces that fans are fully invested in anymore. Braun was definitely one of those guys. So you turn him for the sake of turning him just to feed to Roman. I don’t really know how Braun bounces back from that.

The sad thing is, I could easily see Braun becoming one of those guys, that when he finally gets the title, after all the mind blowing booking they've done, a good chunk of people won't even care anymore. Kinda like Samoa Joe in TNA, when he finally got the title, it was like, ok, they gave to him, but who really cares at this point. It just amazes me though, that when you look at some of Vince's biggest names, Hogan, Austin, Rock, Cena, their rise, and fan support came organically. Imagine if they pulled crap like this, with these guys.

I fear the crowds are going to make the next few Braun v Roman matches terrible ... I hope I’m proved wrong.

The Austin thing only happened because Vince was fighting to keep WWE a float at the time against WCW. Vince had no intentions to really go with Austin at first. He wins KOTR and then at SummerSlam he is on the Free For All wrestling Yokozuna?? Vince had no plans with Steve but thankfully he went with him.

Yeah, that I know, it was when he couldn't afford to let his ego run rampant, and say, "this is what I'm giving you and you'll not only swallow it, you thank me and ask for seconds!" And ok, we put the merchandise factor in, Reigns apparently the top seller, with how over Braun is, wouldn't you want to push him too as another top face, the encourage his merch to be bought to?

You would think that, yes!
The same can be said back in 2013 when he turned Ryback heel on Cena. Ryback was over in 2013, and nobody can't deny that. Fans went nuts for him. Why not push him too??
You can run two shows on the same night, have Strowman be the top face on one, have Roman be the top face on the other. Nope, heel turn. Which won't work, cause it was Braun being heel and kicking Roman's ass that got him cheered and made him a face.
You also have to wonder though if Roman is a top merch seller, or if its just the WWE lying to us so we eventually cheer Roman??

Would have been best if they made Roman Reigns and the Shield heel. WWE poor decisions made Braun look like the biggest idiot on the planet. Cashing in his briefcase for a match at Hell in a Cell and then turning heel hours later, it makes 0 sense.

The story would make a hell of a lot more sense: Reigns is worried he can't keep his title against Braun, and gets his 'brothers' to ensure he keeps is.

I’m glad they turned Braun. He was doing a lot of stupid crapthat was making him not be a badass. Singing, the outhouse thing with Owens, the stuff with Bliss, teaming with Nicholas. The guy should be talking less and kicking more ass

I enjoyed the ending but RAW was meh again lol. Rollins/Owens was good though.
Reigns vs Strowman at HIAC should be a brutal match. Looking forward to that and I'm sure Braun will bounce back eventually from the defeat.

They backed themselves into a corner by turning Strowman face. There’s really no room for him as a top face with Roman and the Shield as your top faces. So that’s why I don’t really have a problem with them turning him heel again. Raw has no good heels right now so someone had to turn.
My one issue is that these guys feuded for the better part of 2017, so I’m not really ready to see it again with the roles the same. I guess we’ll see how it plays out

Turning Braun heel is once again another reactive, in the moment decision to hold back anybody else who is organically flourishing as a babyface, to ensure Roman is out there on his own as the number 1. Just when you think it can't get any more comical, they go one step further. If the long term plan was to turn Braun heel, they would have done it at Summerslam, or even last week and had him take out Balor infront of an audience that was gasping for Balor to win the Title. There is no way they can't say that they saw the reaction Braun got when he came out to cash in last week, and how in favour the crowd was of him cashing in on newly crowned Champion Roman.
The only person who needs to turn heel, and I've said it so many times, is Roman Reigns. He's the one exception where I don't buy the idea that he would be a 'cool' heel and cheered the moment he turns heel. The only way that happens is if he becomes a Paul Heyman guy. The reason he's so unliked (despite being forced down everybody's throats), is that he simply doesn't connect with the audience or have humour or a colourful personality. His natural traits are simply unlikeable, he's smug, arrogant, and cocky. He has a ton of charisma and works well in the ring, and has a great look, but he's not a natural face and the only way that will happen is organically over time once he's been a heel for a long time.
They've once again booked themselves into a corner now, with Braun now being a heel, and Roman as a Champion who nobody really likes either.
