As a life long Flair fan, I'll tell you definitely he's not overrated or over-hyped. He's as true to his character as he is himself. I'm surprised at his longevity. Flair will go down as the greatest wrestler in the history of the biz, from technical prowess to being a grand showman, he is all that.
For me personally, I think he's a little over-exposed in his old age. Hip Hop videos, and other social media places I wouldn't expect him to turn up, but he does. I guess that's just Flair being Flair.

ric flair is still ‘the man’. did politics keep him on top at times? sure, but they also had him at the bottom at times...and he still came back with some of the best performances of his career.

I've always heard so much about Wahoo McDaniel... that's my first time seeing him and he looks like hot garbage.

Hes not over rated at all but you do have to understand that not only has wrestling changed from his prime to now but the NWA and WWF were two very different animals. Ric Flair could cause a riot in the stands. He was as over as anyone could be. You hated the shot outta him but at the end of the day you'd lay there going "god that was good....wish I could be him".

I've always heard so much about Wahoo McDaniel... that's my first time seeing him and he looks like hot garbage. Eh, don't be too quick to judge. Do a search on some of his earlier matches. Especially against Johnny Valentine, Greg Valentine, Ricky Steamboat, Harley Race & Manny Fernandez. His knife-edge chops were some of the most vicious in wrestling. That's who Flair learned it from.

He wouldn't be overrated in my book.....Love his matches with Steamboat, Vader, HH94 against Hogan, Funk, Sting and SO many more.

It's just such a boring style of wrestling to me. Reach to his own though. I'm sure there are kids today who would hate my favorite matches like Savage vs Warrior etc.

Boring!? No way. That style was professional wrestling. It's boring if you are not invested in the storylines. I guess you could say that for any era though.
