Charlie Frye is headed out west. The Cleveland Browns reached a trade agreement today with Seattle that will send the Willard native to the Seahawks.
Cleveland is expected to re-sign previously released quarterback Ken Dorsey to replace Frye.

i hate to sound like a typical forum mole whining about "official topic !!1" and all of that... but honestly, this really isn't the type of earth shattering news that warrants its own thread. but personally, i dont mind... any NFL talk is good talk, in my book erik hammer and I are going to light a candle in charlie's memory. we both had him as our #1 rated QB coming out of Akron in 05. and i don't want to blow this move out of proportion, because in all likelihood Frye will be on the market again next year... but you cannot understate Mike Holmgren's ability to judge QB's. this is a guy who drafted and groomed Mark Brunell, Aaron Brooks, Matt Hasselbeck, etc while he had Favre in Green Bay. Holmgren knows what he's doing when it comes to back up QB's, and if he sees something in Frye, then maybe there's still something left over in the tank from his Akron days

Out of all the major trades in the world, this ranks below the one where Alan Henderson was traded to the Jazz for the right to switch 2nd round picks in 8 years.
