And people say they aren't jealous....  Im not, but watching a hockey game and seeing Sidney Crosby in 5 different commercials gets annoying after a while. We get that he's talented but he doesnt need to be in EVERY commercial Yes he does. He's the NHL's most marketable player. Every casual fan knows who Crosby is. They don't know who Franzen is. They don't know who Briere is. They don't know who Morrow is. People will watch a game if they know Crosby is playing despite limited knowledge of hockey. It's Marketing 101. |

There is plenty of North American hockey players that can be marketed with Crosby. Kane, Toews, Nash. EVERYTHING doesnt have to be made with Crosby on it. Hank & Helm scored for us. And I love how everyone is making us out to be big cheaters because Homer is in front of the goalie but Morrow can bump into Ozzie. And I hope Ribeiro gets suspended for chopping Ozzie near the throat. I dont see why people chop at us, Ribeiro and Calgarys backup last season.... could they "Be Jealous?". Im gonna hate having to miss Mondays game because of Raw but Ill start some "Lets Go Red Wings" chants |

Malkin could have been covered by Kimmo on the breakaway last night if he was in the lineup, you never know. |

Malkin could have been covered by Kimmo on the breakaway last night if he was in the lineup, you never know. no im saying it doesnt ing matter because the pens didn't score on a powerplay.. what don't you understand.. as well as malkin's breakaway was because after he got drilled he laid there for a minute got up and the flyers forgot about him i know though, if this and if that.. well if the flyers would have scored 5 goals they would have won |

Your putting over a guy who has a much talent as the rest of the league. How about you watch Datsyuk and Zetterberg, they deke like crazy, tie up the goalie so bad that its an easy goal. Crosby starts moving around, One hand on the jersey and he goes flying and theirs a call on the other team. You dont see calls on Hank or Dats. They dont cry to the refs everytime they fall down. As for Malkin, if he was so great he would have made a fancy move on him. |

Why are you going by stats from this year to determine Crosby's skill. He won the scoring title, art ross, and Lester Pearson award last year.
He had an injury plaged season.. but now he's killing it in the playoffs, 12 assists, 4 goals..
I agree that it's better to market all of your stars but in the NHL's case, they need one star to boost them.. NBA has LeBron, NFL has Peyton Manning, the NHL has Crosby. Every sport is going to have a player with tons of commercial and overexposure it's no reason to really hate.
Crosby pretty much only has that Gatorade commercial, meanwhile you can't turn on your TV during football season without seeing Peyton Manning
