I don’t understand, so it’s like no canvas?

I don’t understand, so it’s like no canvas? Yeah, it must have some kind of suction cup base underneath the ring posts to keep them in place. It's supposed to be made for easy transport, but the rope pieces seem like they would be more of a hassle to deal with than regular ropes. It was probably done this way to keep the cost down (it's expected to retail for $19.99).

I'm thinking the logic is that it would be easy to store, and wouldn't take up space.
I could see a lot of parents saying "Another ring? Where are we gonna put that? I'm not buying that." (If the ring had a bottom and couldn't be folded up). I'm assuming this is how Mattel is looking at it from a marketing perspective.

I was hoping they'd start tinkering with new ideas for rings, this is pretty ballsy though, $20 for 4 nerf darts and a bundle of sticks? It'd be fun to try out in weird places like the top of the refridgerator.

Next Mattel will release an empty box and market it as an Imagination ring.
Wonder if you could use the Slurpee straws for velvet ropes for various celebrity-themed setups?

HAHAHAHA OMG it's not even a ring! It's like that rope thing that forms the line at the bank! Mattel is on drugs. What a joke. The sooner this company loses the license the better.
Bring on NECA, Diamond Select, ANYBODY. Mattel is losing it.

Interesting...? I don't want to bury it as I'm not sure why they chose to do this. The ropes are bad, if they're just solid plastic whats the point? This whole 12" line is just weird top to bottom.

Hence, them trying to milk it for all its worth quickly

I was wondering when they’d release a big ring for the 12” and or WWE Superstar dolls...didn’t think it’d be this. I can understand that a canvas may be a big cost hassle. But why not make the canvas wide but only like 2” high? What are the stickers for? C’mon they can’t throw in a piece of plastic? I was really hoping for a scaled size ring for the bigger figures

Opening this on Christmas morning would be like getting Dollar Tree wrestling toys from the aunt & uncle who don’t know any better.

Huh.
So it looks like the ring posts have a suction on the bottom, which renders them useless on carpet therefore the next likely place is a dining table, only for little Jimmy to be told to get his toys off the table.
What's the deal with the straw things? Why? If they're actual straws, all they'll do is get creased and bent after one touch, then when Mum runs out of straws she'll just go rip a rope out of Jimmy's ring. If they're solid plastic, then what's the use? They won't move or anything, you're basically slamming figures onto long red bars. Where's the mat... Where's the apro... Why does it come in a big box... What happens if you lose a ring post? Why is Kane a twig? Why is Angle so happy?
Who really is Byron Saxton?

I think it's a tremendous value. You get TWO 2-sided Madagascar rings for the price of one.

Its such a massive pi55 take to call it a ring, a wrestling ring has a canvas, to charge $20 for 12 plastic straws and 4 posts shows what contempt they hold consumers in

Mattel’s inspiration for this ring:
When do we get Terminator and Springboard figures complete with bat and sound effects (no swearing)?
