If I got a box Christmas morning and was expecting a ring, and it was just posts, ropes, and no ring I would be crushed and it would ruin my childhood forever.
Tf is that?!?!?

Everyone losing their sh*t over something they have no intention of buying anyway and hoping Mattel loses or are going to lose the license is hilarious. Keep being you guys...I love you all. It does seem like a bit of an over-reaction, lol... stuff like this is primarily for younger kids anyway. As long as they're still making awesome Elite figures, everything's good.

Hey, if Jakks can sell a Hell in a Cell without the roof, Mattel can sell a ring without the ring canvas. This is going to be one of the most returned items this season, guaranteed. I understand what they were going for, but so many parents are going to buy their kids a ring in the holiday rush and think it either didn't come with the ring itself or that it was a rip-off or something.

I agree although my 8 year old loves the bigger figures but thinks the so called ring is ridiculous

I have so many rings that I am not buying another one anyway unless Mattel did like a big elite ring like the retro one that would include a figure from the early 90's

For playability the "ring" is not good, but perhaps just as something to put on a shelf and display figures behind the ropes maybe wouldn't be that bad an idea, but that's all I can think of really to make it useful. I don't even know why they are starting with a full line of 12 inch figures. They already have a full line of basics for $10 each. I doubt these will be cheaper than that.

I would tell those kids to stop being so self entitled. Them and their soft feelings would have never survived the early to mid 90s. Kids these days...SMH.

Maybe the early to mid 80s, but please we all had a Hasbro ring by 1994.

They did. I actually have it still. Made for a decent cage. Any pics because i have googled but nothing It was called “Chaos in a Cell” and “Rage in a Cage”. Not sure which came first.. It won’t be getting it by no means but I actually dig the concept (if the price is right). I always preferred making my own ring as opposed to the ones produced.

This “ring” would be perfect for those big, brutal vibrating WCW figures from the 90s. For some reason my mom would always take the Kevin Nash and hide it in her dresser drawer...

I'd just like to point out, that 12 in, is 30.48 cm, not 40. Yeah, they're still making them... and making most of them exclusive to US stores.

Everyone losing their sh*t over something they have no intention of buying anyway and hoping Mattel loses or are going to lose the license is hilarious. Keep being you guys...I love you all. This "ring" that is not a full ring is crap and i doubt i will ever see it in store. This pile is another example of poor decisions made by a company that should be doing everything it can to make quality toys that people want and buy. They should also for things that do sell like elites make them as easy as possible to find in stores. The easier it is to collect something popular, the more people will buy. There should not be short packed anything, and there should not be chase figures. Now going back to the original subject of this thread, whoever ok'd this to be made should be let go. This is half a ring and its not even functional because while trying to do anything with it with the 12 inch figure you will knock the ring posts down if you bump them. You will have to either return this, throw it away, or find someone who is good at wood working and make a bottom for it and glue the ring posts down to it.
