I watched about 30 minutes, but there are some nights I am too tired to stay up until midnight as I get up early. I have a hard time staying awake for ROH on Saturdays with it ending at 11:30 let alone midnight. Getting old, I guess. Maybe they will change their minds and move it back if the ratings lag this badly.

Gets the rug jerked out from under them once they seem to start righting the ship. Vintage TNA!
...I mean Impact.

Sources online are saying it was PopTV that changed the timeslot on Impact, and without consulting them either. Does seem to look like maybe Pop is trying to get rid of Impact, putting it in a slot that helps it to bleed to death (which it already was) even faster.
My question is, what did Pop put in place of Impacts old time slot? Did it get better ratings?

Execs at Pop likely feel other programming can draw a broader appeal and more ad sponsers than a much-lamented wrestling show. Cheaper too.

its a shame, i miss it on tv being so late, 11pm-1am on a friday after a weeks work just doesnt happen, and if i sleep before it i dont wake up for it! ive subscribed to GWN now to catch up on the go and get their back library hehe
i was watching a video/interview somewhere recently about tv deals and not being 100% necessary with streaming being a major thing now.
i think it was dave meltzer on all in becoming a company, i think that was it, and in that he was saying impact arent happy woth the time move because of the rating effect. its a darn shame as they always have a fresh product if not always consistent.

They have become a glorified indy company at this stage. Despite what any of the Wrestling Newz websites say, they aren’t signing with Syfy or TruTV. WGA America was put on the table when they were getting the boot from Spike and DA and neither amounted to anything. And that was three years ago when the company had the likes of Angle and Hardys. I’m thinking 2019 will be the year where they fail to find a new TV deal and Anthem sells it off to WWE. It is going to happen at somepoint. They need a TV deal for cash. YouTube, GWN or Twitch aren’t going to give them sufficient finance to put out a decent product. They make no money from merchandise, and nobody shows to the live events anymore.

YouTube, GWN or Twitch aren’t going to give them sufficient finance to put out a decent product. They make no money from merchandise, and nobody shows to the live events anymore. the impact company has been heavily infused with local established indie companies such as BCW and Smash wrestling - between those two companies there is a plethora of talent available, and BCW already regularly books top indie names. so their foundation is safe. the live events, despite what you’re suggesting, are all well attended. are they selling out massive amounts of tickets? no, but they’re currently touring more often than tna was - having most recently been in both Mexico and their old home, Nashville. their product has improved. regularly putting out excellent wrestling that build their product image. are they just hanging in there, and in many ways are a shell of what they were? sure, but they’ve made an incredibly smart decision basing themselves in Canada where costs are low and wrestling is a far more commoditized entertainment (there’s far less to do in Canada, making wrestling a fantastic source of revenue due to towns having no other attractions). they teamed up with Scott d’amore who has owned BCW and ran it successfully for over a decade... I think they’re improving and now that they’ve recovered a lot of their integrity they can now establish themselves as an individual company. hopefully we see that in the next year.
