Given the date yesterday I watched this event yesterday when I got in from work....man oh man easily one of WCWs finest hours. What a card...
Thoughts/memories on this PPV?

This was my second favorite Halloween Havoc, only closely behind 1996. The main event of Hogan/Piper left a bit to be desired, especially at this point in 1997, but obviously Rey/Eddie and Savage/DDP are worth the watch alone.

Things I remember from it (I haven't watched it in probably 18 years or so)
- Chris Jericho almost breaking his neck giving a top rope frankensteiner
- Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero having the match of the year!!
- Randy Savage and DDP battling around the arena
- Randy Savage jumping off that ridiculously high steel cage during the Piper vs. Hogan match

DDP/Savage and Eddie/Rey are classics. Definitely the last good Havoc IMO.
