I play in a rotisserie 5x5 league with 12 teams. There is a salary cap of 12.5 million. We need to play 1B, 2b, 3B, SS, C, OF x 3, and to open positions, as well as 5 SP & 2 RP. It looks like I will win this years league or finish second at worst. I can carry over 3 players, either 2 hitters and a pitcher or 2 pitchers and a hitter. When you carry over a player you have to give them a $200,000 raise. For each additional year you carry a player over you double the raise you give them i/e, $200,000 in year one, $400,000 in year two, $800,000 in year three. Here is my roster and salaries as they stand now, I carried Crawford over from last season so his raise if I carry him over again will be $400,000, everyone else will get $200,000 raises if carried forward.
Albert Pujols - 1,800,000 - would be $2,000,000
Ronnie Belliard - 300,000 - would be $500,000
Joe Crede - 600,000 - would be $800,000
Felipe Lopez - 500,000 - would be $700,000
Victor Martinez - 1,100,000 - would be $1,300,000
Carlos Beltran - 1,100,000 - would be $1,300,000
Carl Crawford - 1,100,000 - would be $1,500,000
Vernon Wells - 400,000 - would be $600,000
Garrett Atkins - 300,000 - would be $500,000
Carlos Guillen - $100,000 - would be $300,000
BENCH
Rickie Weeks - 300,000 - would be $500,000
Clint Barmes - 400,000 - would be $600,000
Jeff Mathis - 200,000 - would be $400,000
Garret Anderson - 50,000 - would be $250,000
Aaron Rowand - 400,000 - would be $600,000
Brandon Inge - 200,000 - would be $400,000
PITCHERS
Ervin Santana - 100,000 - would be $300,000
Brad Penny - 300,000 - would be $500,000
Kenny Rogers - 100,000 - would be $300,000
Jered Weaver - 600,000 - would be $800,000
John Smoltz - 600,000 - would be $800,000
Takashi Saito - 300,000 - would be $500,000
Oscar Villarreal - 100,000 - would be $300,000
BENCH
David Wells - 400,000 - would be $600,000
Armando Benitez - 300,000 - would be $500,000
Ken Ray - 100,000 - would be $300,000
I'm thinking of keeping Atkins, Wells, and Ervin Santana. Penny & Rogers, while good, have been inconsistent of late. . . hell, so has Santana, but I think Ervin is younger and has room for improvement. What do you guys think?
