Seems like ever since he won his 16th title at RR2017, WWE has basically only been using him for star power...WM33 was all about the proposal, SS17 was basically a squash match against Corbin, Survivor Series17 was a huge waste, he did have a decent showing in the 2018 Rumble, but then back to being used as a joke at WM34. So I get the movie studios don’t want him risking getting hurt, during filming. But do you think the John Cena that we use to see vs Rollins, KO, Styles, is pretty much done?

He's going to be a special attraction until he's ready to hang them up 100%, which will probably be pretty soon.

Meh the guy gets bashed relentlessly he seems pretty popular in the film industry he's wrestled every notable name that can still lace up a pair of boots so I doubt he's coming back full time again

considering the wwe’s extravagant recent shows, I imagine he’ll entertain a part time schedule for as long as he can pull it off.

I think his best days are behind him tbh. Cena was so overly pushed, and over exposed for the past decade that I have zero interest seeing him. Even if it’s once in awhile. While I respect his contributions to the business, he never clicked with me as a character and he’s not even close to being on a Austin, Rock, or even Hogan level. As a wrestler, ehhh, working with guys that were better than him certainly saved his ass.

A long one, doubtful. He has become this generation's Rock. He'll show up, say he's glad to be back, job someone's a**, then head back to Hollywood. The longest he will be around is if he beats Brock Lesnar at this year's Wrestlemania to eclipse Flair's streak, then transitions the Universal Championship to Drew McIntyre.

I'm sure before it's all said an done, he'll return for one last program to put someone over. Schedule permitting of course.

Long run? Nah. Classic matches? Depends on who he goes against.

Don't see it happening. He's likely done as a full-timer, and he had been saying that his body is really starting to feel the wear-and-tear. He has looked a lot stiffer than usual over the last year or so, even for him, so I can't see him pulling out classics like he had with AJ a couple years ago anymore honestly - especially working much more infrequently and not being in constant ring shape.
2015-2016 will probably go down as the last of Cena's peak.

I doubt he'll ever be full time again, it sucks to see yet another part timer but in his case, it's fine considering he's been a full time wrestler from 2002-2016 and the face of the company, adding extra weight to the already stressful schedule.
He'll be another Rock and Batista, only i think Cena still has the passion to stay at a part time scehdule instead of just focusing on Hollywood. Though if the rumour is true and Cena is cast as the next Captain America, i doubt he'll have much or any time to wrestle aside from maybe WrestleMania.
But you can definitely expect him to have a match with any major signing going forward, there's no doubt that if Omega, Cody etc... get signed, Cena will be one of their first matches. Hell, i even see him coming back and facing McIntyre when he wins the Universal Championship.

I think at best he'll be on a similar schedule to what Undertaker and Triple H were doing around 2010-2011 or so.

Remember when Cena was busting the Rocks grapefruits about being only a part timer? Glass houses John!

Cena’s a top five wrestler on the entire roster. He’s not going anywhere big dog

Saw an interview where he said he was getting too old to go full time and hang with the current roster.
