I like the torsos but I'm only progressive when comes to my action figures. We also would've accepted, "The Official Wrestling Figures of Info Wars!". It sucks to think about, but you know there are figure collectors out there who lost someone at Sandy Hook. Anyways, I'm looking forward to them trying a cloth singlet on someone, probably Angle. I wasn't a fan of the TTL cloth singlet, and never got a hold of the Jack Swagger Mattel, but an Angle with multiple singlets seems perfect for this line.

Hollywood hogan would look fine with the e34 torso

Oh god. I hope they dont try giving macho or hogan this weird new torso style Hollywood hogan would look fine with the e34 torso As this line progresses, I'm sure there will be unique torso molds with varying body definition since not everybody is built like Warrior. But I'm going to assume any wrestler in this line will definitely have the updated torso articulation seeing as it's one of the main UE innovations.

That’s a really good summary. Your last point is an interesting one. Considering the first wave has one modern and one flashback, and the FB just so happens to be one of Hollywood’s rivals in that WCW attire, I could see it happening. Especially with the accessories they could include. Most would have Hogan with his nWo shirt on, so dislike of the ab articulation could be lessened I think. I'm sorry, but I think that the unreleased prototype Hollywood Hogan showed years ago was one of the laziest figures I can remember given the high demand for that particular character. It was practically a copy-and-paste version of his previous Hall of Fame figure with a different paint job. They even kept the goofy smiling head scan. Mattel is capable of so much better than that. Yeah, you don’t have to be sorry there. I remember looking at it thinking that a repaint of the HOF Hogan just didn’t get the job done. BUT, then I saw the unreleased scan, and even though it was all black and it was hard to make out all the fine details, it was clearly new, and gave me hope they might make some part changes had it made it through production.

After sleeping on it, here are a few thought I have on the reveals: - I was reaaaaally ready to be disappointed by this line, either due to the figure quality or the price point. Mattel checked both boxes for me, and that's big win. - I'm still not loving the style of the torso on Warrior, but looking just at the sculpting it is a million times more realistic than the torso they have used for the Elites. That torso always seemed off to me for Warrior's build. - The nesting doll look to the torso looks a little odd. But when I first started collecting, I thought having a giant hinge in the middle of a figure's chest looked a bit odd as well. - Some are treating this like it's a whole new line. It's an Elite with some extra window dressing. It's a nice callback to the original DM line with premium accessories. While I just have my figures sitting on a shelf, it seems like there's a decent sized community of people who pose figures on social media - this is a creative way of offering those collectors added articulation and posing options without blowing it up and starting from scratch. I think this a big part of why the Figarts figures bombed. They were in their own scale, and required starting an entire new collection. - These figures feel like a great value. The later DM's and EG figures felt like regular Elites upcharged in a fancy box. Angle was a great example, where the regular Elite actually was a better and more complete figure at a cheaper price than the EG. The price is accessible, but the figures stack up nicely with offerings of other companies in the $50+ price range. It appeals to collectors, but is priced reasonably enough where a parent wouldn't instantly balk at the price if their child asks for the figure. - They started strong. oWn Warrior is one of his most requested looks. Mattel has a history of giving us requested characters in attires nobody cares for. It's nice to see a change. And even though some people don't like it, we all knew that Rousey figures were going to be flooding the lines as soon as they could get them to market. They didn't cut any corners, and offered a great looking figure for the price. That's a nice change from Angle or Goldberg, where they took a plain-Jane figure and threw it in a premium line because they knew collectors would pay for it. - Releasing these in waves of 2 should help get these to retail and actually keep them stocked. That was far from a given with DM's and EG's.

Torso stacks are absolutely trash. Always have been, always will be. Didn’t need any additional articulation on these to get me to spend the money. Regardless, I’m buying both. That is my most wanted Warrior. The coat turned out amazing and this type of deal was the only way we were getting those trunks and the coat. Ronda is pretty much exactly what I wanted from this line. Warrior too, but man, that torso stack is garbage. I'm with you on that I hate that torso but I'll buy the warrior cause it's my most wanted warrior too maybe bill will change that torso back to the regular torso going forward

I love the Warrior and hope the price point stays at $30 cuz that sounds like a steal. As great as the detail to the duster is, the details on his ring gear (trunks/kneepads) is pretty perfect too
I have a Golden Era WWF 87-92 collection so since this warrior is his wcw run. I really wont mind him standing out with torso/ab articulation since I havent been collecting a bunch of 97-99 WCW anyways

that new ab swivel crunch design is an awesome idea but they executed poorly. 25th joes used it excellently as well as many other lines includes many 6 inch but that looks like a hasbro jumper

So Warrior gets the super crunch but Ronda doesn’t have one at all? Ronda definitely has the same point of articulation. Really?!? Am I missing something or did I miss one of the pics? Because I’m not seeing it.

If they can hide the joint like Ronda in every figure? Fine. If they are all going to stick out like a major sore thumb like Warrior? Please get rid of it.

The design work on that Warrior is seriously incredible. The duster is obviously amazing, but even just the paint deco on the figure is so incredibly detailed. They even nailed the yellow to orange gradient on the Warrior logo. Bill always does great on Warriors, but a lot of times these figures just feel incomplete one way or another, whether it be the lack of accessories or some cheapening out on the paint deco, but this one hits all of the check marks with the incredibly detailed paint deco, the highly-detailed cloth duster, the highlights in the hair, the extra post-match head and extra hands, and they even gave him a proper tan. Bill seriously did a killer job on this one. I bet he's really proud of that figure and he should be.

I'm glad Ronda's gear ain't cloth. Especially since he arms will be poseable with the jacket on. I don't know. Mattel did miss out on introducing some of Ronda's gear-picking action. This is meant to capture authentic in-ring action afterall lol

I don't like this "Ultimate" torso mold either. It's looks bad. The regular elite mold fits perfectly. And it’s not like it adds any substantial articulation. If I could choose between moving the chest sideways and looking like an actual human chest, I’d choose looking like a human torso, thanks. Right!! Nobody asked for a new torso mold. We all asked for elites with more accessories! Bill can same his and Mattels money without this mold.

Warrior had straight hair during this period. Also, never a big fan of a static face warrior. They have the superior yelling Legends head, why not use that? Just my opinion.

The stoic face isn’t perfect but more fitting for his wcw run then 88 summerslam
