Has it had its day?
It’s a yes from me.
I mean 10 years ago or so I was taking note of x-factor, big brother, I’m a celebrity and all that gooey show of emotion.
Now I don’t here anyone talk of it, watch it or take note of The crap.
I was never a big fan but years back it had meaning. Thing it’s time to get shut.
Maybe the whole TV scene needs a change as I’m not a big consumer of it. Netflix, YouTube take over but now and something may catch my eye.
Too much of the new millennium TV shows are dying out

I think like everything, something gains a buzz, then everyone wants a slice of the pie. You know, Towie comes on the scene, does really well and next thing you know you’re sat in bed at 11pm wondering who the hell came up with the idea for ‘The Real Housewives of Cleethorpes’?
I just think, especially in this day and age, things get oversaturated and it makes people lose interest

Yes. Viewership is falling year on year, thank f Big Brother has ended in the UK, outlived its appeal by many years. More the problem now with people becoming stars (even though they are not, such as Scarlett Moffat) from being on a show where you watch people watch tv and then play up because they have camera on them, and then go on another reality show, which is a contest which they win and then are on tv constantly even when they dont ever deserve to be.

Still cant get enough of love island, apprentice, towie, geordie shore, im a celebrity get me out of here, I have always hated big brother though
How many of those are anywhere near reality is another question lol

The GF and I were watching an old episode of Gladiators on Challenge on Sunday and talked about how today's reality and competition shows aren't as good as back in the 90's/early 00's. Back then people were genuinely having fun just taking part in shows like Gladiators, Supermarket Sweep, Blind Date etc. Now it's all about instant fame and how much money they can make out of it. It's lost its soul.

I've never been a fan of reality TV. I think I watched an episode of the original series of Big Brother to see what the fuss was about but it didn't interest me at all.
Boring, awful people... I just don't get reality TV.
