Hopefully this post will be allowed, as it's a social/political issue that the president himself has given speeches about. I get not wanting to talk about illegal activities, but this is about something much bigger than "drugs." This is about our culture and what's going on in the United States.
Perhaps more than anything else (well, along with obvious things like Trumpism and so forth), the 2010s will be known in the US as the decade of the opioid epidemic. Unfortunately prescription drugs and even heroin itself have taken over many communities and areas of the country and countless individuals have suffered and even passed away.
What should we do? We need treatment facilities, education programs, anything possible. The opioid epidemic has done so much damage to so many, from celebrities like Kurt Angle to, indeed without doubt, loved ones and friends of people on this very message board.
What are your thoughts on this emergency, and what should be done?

legalize weed in every state.
I'm a recovering opiate addict. I'm on a cocktail of Neurontin and Clonazepam, +Temazepam at bed, and I smoke a lot of weed.
It's already medicinal in a lot of areas and recreational, too. It helps. A lot.
