Well since Cena is finally returning to WWE in January and with WM season just around the corner...
Who do you think he'll be facing at the big show? Tbh every year there was always reports speculating who his WM feud and opponent would be but I haven't seen anything this year. Even the entire WM35 card is an unpredictable one so far.
I'd personally go with John Cena vs Samoa Joe. It was meant to happen last year or the year before and what better time to do it? Apparently Cena has always been a big fan of Joe so he'd probs put em over clean no doubt.

Either Samoa Joe, or EC3.
I honestly believe a WWE vs. NXT feud with EC3 could benefit both brands as well as both guys. Obviously EC3 would be moved to the main roster after WrestleMania.
EC3 is honestly filling up a spot on the NXT roster that someone else should be getting. He just doesn’t fit the NXT style.

If Seth is facing Brock for the title, I say give us Cena vs Drew McIntyre. That's be exactly the kind of win that could put Drew on the fast track to the top.

My heart says the Velveteen Dream. It'd be a great way to bring him up

I'll say EC3 just because i don't want to see Joe lose at Mania.
Like mentioned above, EC3 just doesn't fit in NXT, i don't know if he'd even fit well on the main roster but it'd be better than NXT.
So in the lead up to Mania, start them with a Twitter feud since EC3 will be in NXT and Cena probably won't be on RAW often, then send Cena down to NXT to confront him or EC3 to RAW then go from there. Give the win to EC3 so he has some credibility going to the main roster, Cena goes back to Hollywood, win-win.

Expected tg11. Currently disappointed.
However, I say Elias and put him over. Although Cena has been raking up the losses so maybe it's his time to win.

Randy Orton. He has targeted Hardy and Rey so maybe he wants to finish Cena once and for all.

I've been dreading since their match last year that Cena would challenge Taker for a proper rematch. Not a fan of HBK supposedly issuing a challenge after his big a** retirement, but taking Taker-Cena II off the table is one good thing.

As nearly everyone has already said EC3 would be my pick and as someone else pointed out Drew McIntrye actually makes alot of sense and could be a pretty big match up to set him up as a main event player moving forward.Brock/Rollins & Cena/McIntrye as the main feuds on RAW leading to Mania kind of feels right. The two biggest part timers going up against the two guys who should be the present and future of the brand and company.

I'll also add that the build up to Joe/Cena would be quality stuff. Promos, Beatdowns etc. The match itself has potential to be a show stealer.
Joe has taken tooooo many Ls, but what a way to redeem himself by making one of the biggest stars ever pass out at WM? He'd be an instant star.

I would say Joe, although McIntyre would be good also. Maybe Cena vs Lashley, if Owens isn't back by Mania time.
Think it'll be Braun vs McIntyre myself, possibly for the Universal title if Braun beats Lesnar.

The Rock lets get that Thrice In A Lifetime
But seriously if EC3 or Ricochett get called up I’d like to see either of them face Cena at Mania.

I've got a feeling this could be the first Mania Cena sits out through choice.

I'd put him against Kurt Angle. His first match was against Angle, maybe this could be Angle's retirement match. It seems like WWE isn't going to do anything with Kurt. He lost to Dolph Ziggler in the first round at Crown Jewel. He lost to McIntyre on RAW. He's not really be used in many matches since coming back to WWE. I think WWE has turned the page on Kurt Angle. We never even got him vs. Triple H one-on-one, they did the mixed tag instead.
I definitely wouldn't use Cena against a young or full time star UNLESS that young/full time start is going to BEAT Cena. You'd hate to see somebody like Joe, Styles, Black, or McIntyre who work ALL YEAR LONG come in and lose to Cena who doesn't really wrestle anymore due to movies/TV shows.
