Just read sonething from Wrestlevotes or something similarly named, they reported that Seth was scheduled to drop the IC title before Dean Ambrose heel turn.
The plan was for Dean to cost Seth the title allowing Elias(!) To capture his first championship gold.
They haven't said why the idea was scrapped, but in a way I'm glad he didn't win thebtitle that way, I think he's good enough to win a title cleanly.

Guessing all the upheaval going on with the Raw roster moved plans up. A longer burn before Dean's turn and Elias remaining heel for a tad longer as champion.

I think everything planned went out the window with Roman's news.
Elias would be a good IC champ, but now I'd have Dean win it. Let Dean have a nice run with it. And maybe have Dean drop it to Finn at WM. It's a new match up and Finn could use the spotlight and boost.

To me neither Dean nor Rollins should have the title now, their storyline is so personal the title is the last thing in anyone's mind.

i really can't stand elias. he's a horrible guitar player, sings off key, looks too big to be a convincing "troubadour" and has an extremely punchable face that no amount of beard can cover up.

I was actually really impressed with how much better Elias has gotten on guitar at Starrcade from where he started.
Also, Rollins for Rumble winner. Whatever gets us there is fine by me. I thought he was going to drop it to Ziggler on Monday for the sole purpose of getting the IC Title away from his feud with Ambrose.

Its the kind of storyline in which Ambrose should cost Rollins the title to elevate it to the next level. Not Ambrose telling how Rollins how much his fans smell 🙄 I reckon the Reigns news has cost Elias his shot. Especially with them putting the Universal title back in Lesnar. Elias just doesn't have enough star power to hold the biggest title on Raw when Brock's not around. |

Seth should hold the IC Title right through until Wrestlemania and challenge Lesnar in a Title vs. Title match.
I don't want to see Dean Ambrose as IC Champion again.
