The bigger question is what kind of lowlife losers do this? Because it’s a form of stealing and I know it’s not kids doing it.

And there was a TRU that had no idea what “swapped” meant. I had to point out that basic Cesaro doesn’t belong in an Elite CM Punk package. The manager took it to the back to appease me. It was back on the shelf a couple of days later.

Stores should just give up on stocking WWE figures.
Most times when I see something of any value on the shelf, it’s been stolen or repacked with an old basic or jakks figure.

It's obvious the people doing this crap are grown men when they are using figures from 10 years ago. They are also low lives and virgins.

I assume this will be locked soon. Its theft, and the people that do it are garbage. It probably is grown adults too. That's what ive seen numerous times slicing and taking belts from boxes. Garbage.

I’ve never seen any of this because I pretty much buy exclusively from eBay or elsewhere online. I didn’t even know this was a thing until a few months ago.

Imagine waking up, looking at yourself in the mirror and thinking "I'm going to swap this TTL Steve Austin for an Elite 64 Seth Rollins today, they look the same to me so no one should notice"
Pulling off the pathetic swap job like you're some undetectable, genius, criminal mastermind.
Going home with the stores Elite 64 Seth Rollins like you just pulled the heist of the century.
Then the next day going back for those oh so precious NXT Tag Titles in AOP's box.
Sorry i thought i'd try and imagine the brain function of these people.

I have been seeing it a lot lately. Every time my wife goes to Target or Walmart I have to tell her, send me a pic of who they have for this very reason. She always wants me to tell her who I need, but with all of the fig swapping going on, who knows what will be in the package.

They are too stupid to realize if they can't afford a $20 action figure, they should get another job or hobby

I will say...i get a chuckle from swaps. I don't care really and neither should employees. More important things to workers than conflict over swaps

I will say...i get a chuckle from swaps. I don't care really and neither should employees. More important things to workers than conflict over swaps As someone who worked in retail/department stores for a while, there was never anything "more important" to do. The job is basically "Here's your department, unload the truck and stock it every morning and keep it clean." Once you stock it and have it looking decent, you have nothing to do but price checks at the register and hoping the Supervisor doesn't give you other stuff to do. Cleaning up your department is a constant thing (because customers are bungholes), but it's more severe in certain departments than others.
That said, whenever I saw swapped/opened merch like that, I was usually glad. I would tell the supervisor but they never cared, and would just tell me to take it to the back and toss it in the big pile of other junk like that. (To be shipped off and tossed into a dumpster fire somewhere.) I would pocket whatever contents I could in spots without cameras lol.

There are security cameras trained on the action figure aisle in the local Wal-Marts now for this very reason. They've even resorted to putting those electronics lock-things on the Marvel Legends figures, too. And seriously, if someone does get away with it you are just wasting your time trying to point it out to an employee, because they honestly don't understand or care. They're low paid, over worked, and hassled by grumpy middle management types all day. They can't be bothered with repacked figures.

It's the low life's faults. The managers probably have no clue on the difference or who is who but the scum doing this definitely do. I feel sorry for the kids that get them for birthdays and Christmas who's parents and family can't tell either.

1) you have to be a low life piece of garbage to do stuff like this
2) I've complained to managers where I live(Toronto). They could care less. At least from my experience
3) Sometimes I wonder if Mattel switches to clamshell packaging if this would help.
