Either way is a no-win for Braun which is really depressing to see with how over he got himself with the fans. Now it's all flushed away and we'll only be left with his latest WrestleMania moment besides this being getting help from a child to win the Tag-Team championships and forfeiting them the next night.

Slightly off topic, but did anybody see the rumor that they wanted the Rock to win the Royal Rumble and then challenge Roman for the title? Anybody have any interest in seeing that? If he can come back next year or maybe the year after they could still do it.

I love Seth but Braun needs it more right now. Braun has failed to win the world title multiple times over the past two years and needs this win. I’d have him beat Brock at the Rumble and successfully defend it at WM against someone other than McIntyre. Have McIntyre take it from Braun around SunmerSlam and then go on a tear until Seth takes it from Drew around the following WM.

Seth's time. He's built himself up from the knee injury, he's carried Raw on his back for 2 - 2 1/2 years now. It's his time to get that Mania moment where he wins the title, without cashing in a briefcase. He needs the Rumble win too, to flat out earn the title match. Stop giving the Rumble to SmackDown. Last 2 have been SmackDown winners. Time for Raw to get a winner, hasn't been a Raw winner since 2015. Triple H won 2016, he's neither Raw nor SmackDown, Randy Orton won 2017 - SmackDown. And Nakamura won 2018 - also SmackDown.

According to this article, there are two different ideas being tossed around for WM 35. Vince's idea is to... Have Braun defeat Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. And then go on to face Drew McIntyre at WM. Where McIntyre would win his first World Championship in WWE.
Triple H's idea is for...Brock to retain at the Royal Rumble and then go on to face Seth Rollins for the Universal title. Where Rollins would defeat Brock to become Universal champion.
I'm personally torn on which of these I like better. I would like to see Braun get a victory over Brock. And I'd especially LOVE to see Drew McIntyre leave WM as champion. BUT, I kinda think Rollins conquering the Beast is more of a WM moment. And If the go with Rollins, Drew could be the guy that defeats him for thr title at SummerSlam.
What would you prefer?
I prefer what you suggest too. McIntyre over Braun at Mania for the title seems to early atm.

Nobody should beat Brock at this time. They should keep the Universal Title on him and hope he wins the UFC Title and can walk around with both Titles.
It doesn't matter that Brock is never on RAW or hasn't had a match on RAW in 16 years. He wrestles at the IMPORTANT PPV's, and he and Ronda Rousey are the ONLY two WWE Superstars that have their matches covered by actual sports outlets. As talented as Rollins, McIntyre or whoever else are IN THE RING, their names are not as attractive to casual fans and especially the REAL non-wrestling news outlets and advertisers.
I don't think there is anybody else currently on Brock's level.
UNLESS they go with the ORIGINAL PLAN which was to have THE ROCK win the Royal Rumble and put over Reigns at Wrestlemania. Have The Rock beat Brock Lesnar if they need to get the belt off Brock for whatever reason. But WWE RAW has no FULL TIME "stars". They are all just wrestlers that only wrestling fans would care about. Wrestling fans are not WWE's target demographic.

The Braun ship has sailed imo. He's going to be another case of WWE not treating a guy the way the audience sees him. Popularity in WWE is usually a wave of momentum and if you miss that wave then it could conceivably be gone forever, like Ryback. Braun will likely win the title in his career but we're beyond the point of the audience feeling like that's a big deal now based on how many times he's lost in the last two years. I think Elias is going to fall into the same category. The audience gets excited, WWE does nothing with a guy or doesn't follow through, and then the audience gets bored until a new toy gets dropped in the sandbox, which is currently Drew McIntyre right now.
I think WWE's biggest flaw in 2018 is they have forgotten how to be great storytellers. The audience wants to be taken on a journey with a performer. We should be getting a constant cycle of 1) crowd shows interest, 2) performer faces some kind of adversity, 3) some form of goal is met with said performer, and then you move the goal posts. If you can create a ladder of success for your talent, so each of them has a journey, it's easier to lift them up into spots and you have stronger levels of talent because the audience already cares about them. But that's not how WWE books. Vince focuses on 2-3 guys at a time and everyone else is just out there filling TV time around those guys. It's unfortunate imo.

I'm not a big fan of the belt on Brock, but I think seeing Seth pick it up from the second of the two rightful competitors from WrestleMania 31 would be a pretty cool callback. I think both of these work though.

Although I love both ideas, I'm far more interested in Vince's idea. The sooner they take the title off of Brock, the better. I absolutely want Drew McIntyre on top of the division, and giving Braun his first title would be great as well, even if it was just transitional.
I do also really like Seth though, and would make a better story.

As much as I love Seth, and I think he is -the guy- as the top face, I am more interested in seeing the meteoric rise of Drew Mcintyre. I love how he is being built, and I cannot STAND Braun and his stupid catch phrase. WWE really dropped the ball on capitalizing on him and that ship has sailed in my opinion. So I would love to see Drew be the guy who dethrones Brock. However, for the record, if the Rock is an option in any capacity...all my opinions go out the window and I want him to be involved lol.

Imagine the Rock coming back for the Rumble, unannounced, at Number 29 (cause 30 is taken by the MMC winner). I honestly think he would get booed depending on who is in there with him... Remember when they tried to save Roman with his appearence? Yeah, that got over well...
I hope he doesn't come back, he is not needed right now. If they wanna have him at Mania just let him cut a promo and squash the Revival with Heath Slater as referee or something.
Both other scenarios are fine with me, as long as the title is off Brock after Mania.

There was also a rumour of The Rock winning the Rumble and facing Brock at WM for the World Title in the main event. Now that would be a huge rematch from 16 years ago plus one of the biggest WM main events in history. A real money match. I also wouldn't mind Brock/Drew, Brock/Seth or even Braun/Drew or Braun/Seth. Or Rock/Brock/Braun/Seth/Drew?

Personally, I like HHHs idea, not cause Vinces is a bad one, cause its not a bad idea, but if we look at whos more over now, Rollins beating Brock makes more sense. Id make it where Rollins beats Lesnar at Mania, then McIntyre takes the belt from Rollins.

I'd like a hybrid of the two ideas: McIntyre over Lesnar at WM.
