Yes..I like what we’ve got. I have the defining moments one. I don’t want more stone cold. Just gimme stunning Steve already Agreed. I won't buy any other SCSA figures. That DM is perfect for me. Stunning Steve would be ... stunning haha

Yeah I think the heads are okay that we've got. I do think jakks done better scans of Austin tho. He 100% needs bigger arms and legs tho. I've had to fix up my Austin's for that.

I don’t really like the smirking scan because Stone Cold shouldn’t be smirking outside the Alliance period

Based on how many figures Austin has compared to how many headsculpts he's had, I'm pretty sure Mattel feel they've nailed him lol

Austin hasn't changed his look, so I kind of see why he hasn't had different head scans.

Has anybody switched out Austin’s legs, or at least his thighs to something more appropriate? Are there any recent elite that’s are cheap enough to grab that would work?

Defining Moments Stone Cold is the definitive Austin IMO. Best version of that scan, three belts, his most iconic vest, an all around winner.
That said, I like the RSC scan too. That smug smirk works for his Alliance days.

Something I'm still waiting for from Mattel is the ultimate Stone Cold Steve Austin figure. If you mean Ultimate as in the Ultimate line of figures then yes, I would love an Austin figure in that style. Probably won't happen though.
In my opinion, the "ultimate" Steve Austin figure is his second Defining Moments. The scan looks good, he has the correct boots and the belts he came with are all painted. Can't go wrong there.
I mostly collect Austin figures so this has been a thing with me as well. I think his headscans are fine, they're not terrible. They look like him, it's always the beard and how it's painted that's the issue. Sometimes it's either too light (like his second DM) or too dark (like his Basic #89), too thin (like the HOF) or too bushy (like the Attitude Era Elite).
To me, the smiling Austin scan only works if it's a heel version of him, like the Ringside Exclusive with the red lettered vest. His Basic #51 figure should've had the smiling scan. The Milk-o-Mania figure really needed to have the smiling scan too. I dunno, that's just me.
I know this is a long-winded answer, sorry. I'm curious as to why you wouldn't think one of the Mt. Rushmore of Wrestling characters would get an Ultimate figure? Honest question.

They definitely need to bulk up his legs and arms. Austin was never that skinny. The face is what it is. But I’m sure the new true FX would help spice it up.

I'm still waiting for Mattel to realize Austin doesn't have the arms and legs of a cruiserweight. I’ve been giving mine the dm Steamboat arms they started giving to Ziggler (e19) and Cody (e20) I like the Austin figures much more now with them. Now if they would just give him the thighs they used on Magnum. I need to do that to mine. Looks way better.

I dunno, I just don't see it happening. Something tells me that Austin isn't getting an Ultimate figure. I've noticed that whenever an Austin figure is announced, it's usually met with lukewarm reception. Granted, Austin kept the same look throughout his career so he's pretty much a "one and done" type of figure...unless Mattel ever makes a Stunning Steve or an Extreme Superstar then at that point, I'm sure people will be hyped. His second DM is the quintessential Austin figure (in my opinion) and I personally don't think Mattel will make an Ultimate Austin.
I dunno, I could be wrong.

No love for the Ringmaster scan...jk lol. I think they have nailed his look...at least on the elites. The headsulpt they used for a lot of the earlier basics wasn't too good though.

My 2 Austin fix ups. Need to source bigger arms for the plain black one but the bigger thighs make him look so much better.

Matel's pencil-thin goatee on Austin really cracks me up. The guy has a very basic, clean design, so any distinguishing marks like his beard become super important to capturing his likeness. Austin's goatee should cover just about his entire chin and stop just before his mouth. But Mattel keeps giving him this anemic facial hair. It really shouldn't be this hard for Mattel to show some attention to major details:

I still really love the first DM. The street clothes are exceptionally well done and the jacket has just about the best stitching of any soft good Mattel has ever done, up there with the first DM Flair robe and the first DM Macho jacket.
My favorite memories of Stone Cold were always him getting up to no good backstage in street clothes.

Anyone else find it hard to believe that Austin has never actually been released in the main elite line? Just find it to be an interesting little factoid, especially for one of the most popular stars of all time, not to mention a very simple and low budget figure.
To stay on topic though, something did always seem off to me about his scans. They are not bad, but they always just seemed very generic. I know everyone is hoping for that Hollywood Blondes Stunning Steve, as am I, but who wouldn't want to also see a long haired ECW Superstar Steve Austin while we're at it as well??

Didn’t think about that until you mentioned it. I wonder how well he would sell if he was put into the main line.
