February can't come soon enough. Ospreay every week š. Now if Kota could just become less washed up than he's looked since returning. Oof. I think cause of that shoulder he is cooked. Didnāt it pop back out on his first match back. He has lost a ton of muscle mass. Hopefully Iām wrong though I love Ibushi.

AND Adam Cole was VERY SUSPECT tonight. He had his ROH tag title belt and put up very little struggle when Jay White took it from him and used it on MJF. More of a hint was the Diamond Ring. Cole could have thrown or tossed it to Max but he put it down and made MJF come and get it. When MJF turned his back, Jay White attacked him and got the ring himself. The biggest hint of all though was that he was willing to wrestle the match. That was basically going to 100% cost MJF his gold. That was 3 attempts in 1 night. Keep an eye on that going forward. So we'll keep this thought going. On Dynamite Samoa Joe told MJF that he wanted his title shot for helping him defend the ROH tag title at the ppv. MJF said no (pretty sure he told Joe to blow him) and wasn't going to take the match. The crowd cheered that MJF told off Joe BUT Adam Cole grabbed the mic and convinced MJF that he should give Joe the World Title shot. Adam Cole is telling Max that, "it's the right thing to do" but I think he's trying to cost MJF the World Title by getting him into the ring with Joe.

QT Marshall just posted this. This really makes me wonder what goes on behind the scenes at companies. I was never a qt fan but have heard he did things back stage etc. I am def curious on the direction he feels aew is going.

Trust me I don't mean in the ring but from the sounds of it,QT gonna be a lot bigger loss for AEW then what most will think.
Now please get JoMo out of this awful QTV stuff and actually let him have a couple decent matches before he becomes Johnny Unemployment

QT played a major, major role backstage. His comments about different directions are a little cryptic and definitely suggest he isn't thrilled with things. Not dissimilar to what Kaz said when he left. This is either gonna be a huge loss, or a huge blessing, depending if he was one of the ones backstage helping keep the good stuff good, or one of the ones that's been making the bad stuff real bad. Which, depends on the person watching I suppose.

I really wanted Punk vs Bryan in AEW man, they could have headlined many PPVs, Dynamite, Collisions etc.
We could have gotten em at All In Wembley, All Out, Double or Nothing etc.
The promos and matches would have been crazy.

That's what they should have been building towards the entire time Punk was there.

QT Marshall just posted this. Itās def something to this affect. Like I said in my post, I donāt work there. So I donāt know if he was a tremendous asset or a hinderance. But to openly say that you donāt like where the company is headed is a pretty damning statement to make. Itās something you feel you need to say beyond saying you are leaving. I know there have been a few reports of people behind the scenes not loving the focus on older stars and not really getting any of the younger guys ready to fill these spots. But yea when one of your two talent relations guys makes a statement like this itās a bad look for your company.

Reading a couple reports (dirt sheet crap so take it for what it's worth which isn't much), that the direction qt was unhappy with was a) he wanted to actually wrestle more and b) aew is going to be heading in a less sports entertainment direction and more of a new Japan direction.
Which, means if you like new Japan style stuff, it's a good departure, if you preferred the brochacho/Toni type stuff (not necessarily those specifically just that type of story) then it's gonna be a big loss.

Which again, Mar-shall went from doing a mid-major angle with Codes to a TMZ ripoff. Plus he was/is a champion in Mexico. Weird turn, because I thought AEW was supposed to launch with a more sports-oriented take in the first place.

He was their vice president of creative and was just a few positions down from TK. It is a huge loss.

He was their vice president of creative and was just a few positions down from TK. It is a huge loss. And creative for them hasn't been the best. He is definitely replaceable. All this does is give people like you more ammo to try and poke fun at AEW. That's what's really going on here.
