I always wondered why Outsiders never sprayed nWo on the tag belts, Syxx/cruiserweight, etc. The storyline was that they were taking over and converting everything from WCW to nWo. They turned the WCW world title into the nWo world title. They wanted to make Nitro “nWo Nitro”. So with that mentality you’d think they would tag their logo on every title they won and claiming it the nWo tag, cruiser, US, etc. Has it ever been mentioned in any shoot interview with Bischoff, Hall, Nash, or anyone in the know why only they sprayed the world title?

Probably because, "That's my gimmick, brother."
I'm being serious.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I remember the Outsiders debuting the last used version of WCW Tag Team Championship Title Belts, and referred to them as the nWo Tag Team Championship Title Belts. As to why they didn't spray paint them, I've asked that same question since Hog Wild 1996.

Only thing I could think of is size. The other championships in WCW, were much smaller then the Big Gold. The only other one that really had a big face plate was the US title. So maybe trying to spray paint nWo onto those smaller belts, it wouldn't have been too legible, like it was on the large face plate of Big Gold. I know I'm probably thinking too technical on it.

it was the world championship, spray painted by the new world order.

The big gold belt was just that... big! So it was easier to spray paint nWo on it. Though at times, it would look like a big black blotch anyhow on the belt when the paint ran.
The WCW Tag Titles were much smaller. Though the one was falling apart, that's when they made new WCW Tag Titles that the Steiners had in 1997, and Hall and Nash would carry the old WCW Tag Titles and call them the NWO Tag Titles.
Bischoff wasn't too happy that they spray painted the big gold belt. That was Hogan's doing on the fly. But it caught on so they kept it going.
Plus, the WCW Title belt was ugly. And it was really the old NWA Title belt anyhow. The WCW Title belt that looked the best was the one Luger had in 1992 all the way up to Flair having it in 1994.

I remember Hall saying on a RF shoot that it was simply due to the size. He reckons they tried it but it couldn't be seen....Also Hogan was scheduled to "go long" with the belt so they felt it was worthwhile.
As said above Higher ups in WCW and Purists backstage weren't happy and got in Easy E ear about it....Hall says that "E was pissed but the merch guys turned him around on it"

Probably because, "That's my gimmick, brother." I'm being serious. This was my initial thought too. Also theorized that the lower card belts would be changing hands more often than the world and they didn’t wanna have to scrub off the paint every few weeks. Looks like JokerFC pretty much said that as well when he said “Hogan would go long.”

Probably because, "That's my gimmick, brother." I'm being serious. Or even more likely the other titles were smaller

Probably because the Big Gold was "big", so more space to write, and it was one solid color. All other belts had aspects of color/design where anything spray painted on it probably would not have been as visible.
