Unless you are overseas and have to pay the extra shipping cost I really don’t think any of them are worth another $15-$20.

I attempted to track down an Aleister Black today the diligent way, tracking quantities on PopFindr, rushing to the store, and pestering a completely uninterested employee, all to no avail.
I found it stressful and overwhelming.
I think I'll stick to the old fashioned method, and hope for the best.

Chasing these 'in stock' notifications from Target , always to no avail , makes me start to wonder if I'm just being trolled every time I get one of the damn notifications. This hobby is maddening sometimes. Lol

Quite the story for me on this one. I been searching for these as long as everyone else. I was on vacation in California last week, where I searched a different Targets frequently no avail. Never had luck with the online either. Then my friend here finds one set last week for him, but not me.
So I just kept checking popfindr everyday for that specific Target's numbers to spike, & it finally popped today. I got to Target early, they were still one the truck so I asked an employee to search the DPCI for me. They said they were in back, but they were still unloading the truck. I was waiting forever & finally I asked the guy again & he said they must have scanned something wrong because they couldn't find the case. I was so disappointed, but luckily while I was walking away, someone came out from the back with a fresh case! I got a set for me & an Black & Riott for my other friend. I have to say this has been quite the set to track down.
Overall figures are all great. Tattoos on Riott & Black are pretty much perfect. Their vests are also the most detailed I've ever seen Mattel do, though they cover up some of the cool tats. Nice to have 3/4 of SAnitY now too. I guess I'm on to the hunt for Alexander Wolfe now. One popped up on ebay the other day but it's from Australia, so being the first one on there it will be super overpriced.

Saw a day or so ago that one of the Targets about an hour or so away had a number spike and figured I might give it a try Saturday morning if the number stayed high as it is a little smaller of a Target. Got off a little early today and weather is supposed to be bad tomorrow so I took a drive up today. Saw 2 of everybody but Ruby on the shelf so I picked up 1 of each and the asked an employee of any could possibly be in back and he said it showed 2 were in the back, so he went back and grabbed them and it was the 2 Ruby figures. I ended up picking up 1 of each along with the targetcon funkos I wanted so good day there. Also messaged another member on here that I know is in that area an let him know they were there so hopefully he finds them too. Ended up also finding a Chase Hawkins at the Wal-Mart in the same town.

Everytime I ask it brings up the NXT 3 set (as they have the same barcode) I don't think so. I knew the numbers jumped as if they had added a whole set and nothing had appeared to sell yet so when I saw that Black, Dain, and Drew each were there with two figures each I just figured that between the 6 of NXT 4 and the Roman and Aries from older series that they likely couldn't fit Ruby on the pegs and just put it in the back. I had taken them to one of the scanners first and they were popping up at separate numbers for each of them so at first I wasn't even sure they would be able to find out if any were in the back. |

When it comes down to it, there's three groups - or "tribes" of people in this thread: People who have found and bought everything they wanted - and can apparently, find as many as they want, at the drop of a hat. US collectors who can't find these in-store, or miss out on the website/app. International collectors: On the outside, looking in - like Charlie Bucket outside the candy shop. Can't buy in-store, can't buy online... basically, at the mercy of ebay scalpers/flippers. I dumb lucked my way into one of my pursuits, but I've, thus far, come up empty on the other, which happened to be on the shelf the day of the former, but didn't fall into a weekly budget constraint? Well, then... You have to go to war... When two tribes go to war, NXT 4 is all that you can score - *if you're lucky*. |
