I'm surprised these haven't been found yet. For something that was supposed to be ready to go it seems like an eternity. The havenât hit Targets yet. Whatâs not to understand? Theyâll pop up in stores or online eventually. There may be a delay in the line-up changing, it may have to do with the holidays. The only people who know are Mattelâs warehouse employees, Targets management and warehouse employees. Dying to know what you people did before the internet... |

Add the factory and customs to that list. Mattel fired a huge portion of their factory staff last year, so production delays are very possible with fewer plants to produce the figures. I never trusted the word of Bill and Steve after the Harley Race debacle claiming more are coming and everyone will be able to get them. Don't put up posts on Twitter and Instagram, using the word imminently and tell everyone to start looking in a January best thing would have been to say the first few months of 2019 which gives you about 3 months. Before the days of the internet there were old fashioned toy hunts where you would be surprised at what would be on the shelf, and the toy magazines showing the toyfair coverage. Bill claims he knows nothing on distribution, then says another thing. The pushing back of Hideo makes the most logical sense as to the delay.

Saying they were hitting store immediately was an instant mistake by them. Surely they knew that was never going to happen. Also, before 'The Internet', there weren't 5000 store exclusive lines, 5000 sets only available in one country and chase figures limited to certain stores. I don't understand why they had to push Itami back, the line was ready to go so why bump him, causing the line to be pushed back even further? Now they would've had to reprint all the cards so it doesn't include him. |
