Good. He's been phoning it in for quite some time now. Haven't seen him phoning it in, if he is, can't blame him because its mainly the shitty booking

He's become so stale and annoying from a couple of years now that i wouldn't feel his absence if he will leave. Even when he was champion seems he acted like a lazy ass. Nah, Brock is lazier, besides I can't blame him. The Booking sucks. Not Dean's fault booking sucks.

Ambrose has been my favorite for years, and I wouldn't blame him for leaving. As I said in the other Ambrose thread, they have wasted his full potential multiple times. He should have been the one to benefit the most when The Shield initially broke up. Nobody in the company was over more than Dean was during that time, and he took a backseat to Reigns and Rollins the entire time. Even when he finally won the title, the material they gave him to work with was garbage.
When I first read this story this morning, I initially dismissed it because there have been so many of these reports coming out lately. But the more I think about it, the more this makes sense. I think it's entirely possible that he came back in August and was willing to give this whole thing one more shot, and after he saw how badly they botched his heel turn, that was the last straw. He reportedly turned down a five-year, seven-figure contract. Ambrose's possible exit reminds me a lot of Punk when he left. Both are very private guys with simple lifestyles. Ambrose might just be burned out and want something better, no matter how much money the company is willing to throw at him. I'd love to see him work as a truly edgy heel somewhere that'll allow him to be himself. I doubt he would go to NJPW given the fact that his wife will still be working with the WWE, but I would think ROH and AEW would be in real play for him if these rumors turn out to be true.
Also, if this is true then it would explain his over-the-top selling, don't-give-a-crap-anymore attitude the last two nights lol. His selling at the Rumble and last night were hysterical.

If this is true it'll be a big loss for them.

Sounds like BS. It says he claims he’s been frustrated with his character for a long time. He just turned heel like 3 months ago? Something he’s wanted lol and prior to that he was out for basically a full year. So how can he have been frustrated for a LONG time if he’s barely had the character. It said he was frustrated with the corniness & hokiness of his character, which it has basically been since 2014. The only time he was really serious was the Dolph feud after winning the title. And his heel turn was followed up by getting a needle in his ass and becoming a germophobe. Do you really think that sounds like something Ambrose would be thrilled with? Not to mention he nearly died last year. Might have changed his perspective on wanting to keep grinding away with something he isn't satisfied with. Especially when he did that interview a few months ago, saying he was really only motivated by doing something he really likes with his character now. I mean I guess, who knows though. If it’s true, I wonder if they’ll allow creative freedom for him to resign. Doubt he wants much but to at least have a say in his promos and overall character. Shouldn’t be a big deal but I’m sure to Vince that’s like asking for gold

This is monster news if true. Ambrose is the kind of guy Vince loves to take advantage of for years on end. Reliable worker, great talker, he's a steady heartbeat and we saw him draw as much money on top as Roman while they were running in opposite directions on Raw and Smackdown. He's making top guy money in comparison to most of the active roster, too.
He's also a guy that would be a massive draw elsewhere because he's got Indie cred, and he's the type of guy that fans want to see unchained from the WWE restraints. This is just a big deal imo. It's exciting and I'm curious to see where this goes. I would love to see EA(M)V make a return.

I was totally shocked when I woke up and read this. Good for him. WWE is not the landscape for Dean. His character is best served in an environment where he will not be neutered and forced into nonsensical booking. His comments to HHH last night on Raw feel like they carry extra weight now knowing where his head is at.
Also it's going to be interesting to see the WWE names that start popping up this year of workers that want out.

Wow, what a major loss for them. Dean is a tippy top guy, but could have been so much more. I knew from the second he was called up from developmental that he was going to face challenges from creative. He hasnt even scratched the surface from a character standpoint and I could easily see the frustration. The guy was constantly reaching for the brass ring but was always shoved aside for someone else. They had a shot to really do something with him during his heel turn but they blew it relatively quickly. I think Dean knows that he’s only going to go so far with WWE at this point. For him to pass on a big money contract just goes to show how much people just don’t want to be there.

Also, I could see them leaving Ambrose off the WrestleMania card entirely now, if this is all true. I don't even know who he would feud with anyway at this point, unless he's just thrown in a random ladder match or battle royal.

I went off him when he did that super weird interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin. After that I was never able to take him serious or look at him the same way. To be fair more power to the guy. If he has made his money and can leave at a young age and live a healthy life then good on the dude I say.
Sucks for the people that are a fan of his, but I feel that he and to be fair the WWE have tried numerous things to take him to the next level and it never quite happens.

He put his heart and soul into the company and got nothing in return. The bookers treated him like crap no matter how hard he tried so who can blame him?
Someone like Ambrose is too good for the WWE.

Doesn't help when you have a universal champion that makes sparce appearances

This actually really surprises me. If he leaves I hope he starts wrestling for AEW or anyplace else instead of just retiring. Either way It’ll be weird not seeing dean in wwe anymore

Bitch, bye. Have fun in AEW, 'cause in WWE you've been completely boring since the first Shield split.

I may be mistaken as it’s been a while since I watched it, but didn’t he say back on the Austin podcast that he was one of the few guys who they allowed to cut their own promos? So if that’s the case aren’t his crappy ones like the crowd smelling on him as well?
