Shame it didn't work out for him. He came in with a ton of hype, they even had Hogan be the one to announce his signing....Finn Balor was brought in as his partner....
Just too many injuries and too much time away from the ring. He'd come back, get a push, immediately get injured, and be out another year.
Hopefully he is able to have success elsewhere. Didn't seem like a bad dude....it just didn't work out.

The 90 no-compete clause still applies to cases like this, right?

Thats a good assignment for somebody here if they have the free time to research it. I remember after Mr Kennedy got his release, somebody here counted the number of days he was on the disabled list, suspended for wellness policy violation or filming a movie over the number of days he was on the main roster (Aug 2005-May 2009) and he was out for 33% of that time. Rey Mysterio comes to mind on being on the injured list frequently. His last run he was injured more than he wrestled. Yeah, but to be fair, he has been wrestling since 1990 and his body was bound to break down after 20 years.

I remember watching him at WM media day this past year, and no one had any questions for him. He just kinda sat there. You could tell he was just so disappointed. Then when he moved over to the Japanese media table, it was the complete opposite.
My hope for him is he ends up being happy where ever he goes. KENTA is one of the biggest reasons I discovered puro back in 2006.

Can't say I'll miss him, total flop. Forgot he was even on the roster until I watched the Rumble.

good for him he was never used right anyways. To be fair, I think WWE tried. But I think they lost confidence after so many injuries. Every time he was set for the push, injured - out for a year. Comes back, in line for the push, injured - out for another year. I think it got to the point where WWE was like, we can't keep doing this.

good for him he was never used right anyways. Agreed. They kept putting him in wrestling matches and he was too fragile to be used that way.

He's going to regret leaving when those medical bills start racking up and Vince isn't paying for them.
