What if instead of Lex Luger coming out of the helicopter on the USS Intrepid, it was Sting? And at Summerslam he won the WWF title? How do you think his reign would’ve went? How would the wrestling world react to Sting jumpship to the WWF? Do you think Bret would’ve been the number 2 face in the company? How does Wrestlemania X go? Do you think he should’ve jumped?

part of me wishes he jumped, but i laso liked him being a nwa/wcw guy his whole career.
but that would have been really cool! matches with bret, micheals, diesel, perfect, narcissist, bigelow, razor, evil crush, yoko, & undertaker would await.

Agreed. This is a hard one for me because at this time Bret was my favorite WWF guy and Sting was my favorite WCW guy, so a dream match between these two at the time would have been epic (personally for me). Though, had Sting jumped I really think Vince would have gone with him over Bret since Sting fits the look that Vince likes, plus he's kind-of like Warrior in style but easier to work with (according to wrestlers who worked with both). If Sting would have jumped I wonder if we would have seen USA Luger at all, it would make a lot of sense to keep Luger in the Narcissist gimmick (since that fit his personality better) and have Sting v the Narcissist for the title. The best time to bring him in would have been at the body slam challenge in July, have him come out of the helicopter to slam Yoko. Then he could face Yoko at Summer Slam, and win the belt, then build to a Luger/Sting match at either the Rumble or Mania 10. If they wanted to give the belt back to Bret, have Luger beat Sting at the Rumble and have Bret win the Rumble match, then have Bret beat Luger at Mania 10. They can still set up the Owen/Bret feud the way they did and have Bret v Owen at Summer Slam. They could even do the double matches at Mania (sort of like they did), have Luger win the belt from Sting at the Rumble in a shady way, which would allow Sting to have a rematch with Luger. Luger could face Sting (in place of the Luger/Yoko match) with Bret facing Owen in the opening like they did. Depending on how they felt at the time, it could either be Luger v Bret in the final (since they were setting up this feud a year before when Luger knocked out Bret at the WM9 luncheon) or if they wanted to have Sting v Bret in the final for the dream match.

As a kid I would have loved this...Honest to God I would have adored it.
I genuinely think Sting should have jumped. Vince was desperate to get Sting & the Steiner's to replace LOD & Warrior. Vince would have pushed him to the moon I feel and He would have 100% won the title at some stage. He would have been crucial to the NG movement. I also think Vinnie would have given us Hart vs Sting at some stage too...which in that era would have been great.
Later on he could have jumped back to WCW to take on the nWo or been one of Eric's first big gets from Vince. But either way...Flair was right when he told Sting to move. WCW underused and undermarketed him 100%. But saying that? Turner knew his worth....just like he did in 88 with Flair and the Road Warriors? Ted told WCWs $$$$ men to keep Sting.....
Also if Sting moves? Theres no USA Luger....no doubt in my mind about that.

Sting would've been great as the guy to beat Hogan at WM6 if he had come earlier. At least he knew how to connect with fans. In 1993? I can see that would've been better with Sting going after Yoko for sure in fact I would've preferred that. Watching Sting vs. Vader back in the day made me a fan, so definitely would've worked.

He could have replaced Warrior. The only bad part would be that crow Sting may never come to be. He would've been great against DX

We would've probably never seen Crow Sting. Even if we did, it wouldn't have been used as well as it was in WCW. I would've been nice to have seen Sting in WWE from 2001-2011- he could've had a few WWE Title reigns and had many dream matches. Even if Sting would've only wrestled one match in WWE- I would've been fine with it being against The Undertaker.

Everyone talks about Sting vs Undertaker. I think the gem would have been Sting vs Michaels

Everyone talks about Sting vs Undertaker. I think the gem would have been Sting vs Michaels That's true. it would've been Sting's best pure wrestling match in his WWE run. I think Sting/Brock in 2003 would've been a gem, too. Sting dream matches (in WWE) *Sting could've been a huge spectacle for dream matches at WrestleMania vs The Rock (WrestleMania XX in an Icon vs Icon match) vs Eddie Guerrero (WrestleMania 21 in an Icon vs Icon match) vs Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 22 in an Icon vs Icon match) vs Chris Jericho (WrestleMania 23 in an Icon vs Icon match. *Convince Jericho to return even if it's only for this match) vs John Cena (WrestleMania 24 in an Icon vs Icon match) vs Kane (in 2002, 2002, or 2003) vs Triple H (2003-2008) vs Edge vs CM Punk (I think it would've been brilliant)

I said it in the other Sting thread....I'm still shocked he didn't jump when his church buddy HBK was trying to talk him around during the RA era.

I think 2005 would've been a perfect time for him to make the jump. Rock wasn't doing anything but wanted a program for 'Mania 21. Imagine promoting Sting vs the Rock for WrestleMania? It would've drawn huge!
