I meant one for the WWE board for when there’s news pertaining to WWE wrestlers being involved There isn’t really any need, I get that this board has the 2nd highest traffic on WF but then all AEW discussion would end up here. AEW rumours should just go in the AEW thread in the other feds board where they belong.

Sportskeeda is about as reliable as a sack of week-old dog crap.

Don't believe what you read.
I fell into it yesterday when I read that Meltzer was reporting AJ was going to be out indefinitely because of a hernia. Bob Sapp countered this report and said something like no one in WWE even is aware of this, and lo and behold, AJ was involved in the main event segment. You don't jump and run around with a hernia.

That is something Meltzer hasn’t learned with the way WWE works now. He always speculates injury. They give top guys weekends off much more frequent now. If you really look at house shows there is a top guy or two from each brand off every weekend.

I think it kind of makes sense for Randy in terms of schedule and money, and he's been such a significant mentor to Cody, but does he really make sense to AEW and that audience since he's such a WWE Thoroughbred type of performer? I guess you can make the argument that star power rules supreme, but I'd argue that the money is better spent chasing CM Punk out of retirement since he's a better fit for the demographic, even though Cody doesn't seem to particularly care for Punk. I just have a really hard time envisioning Randy outside of the WWE system when he's been so critical of the performance style that is going to makeup most of AEW's roster.
Seems more like Cody is doing his friend a favor in an effort to help up his WWE contract, assuming this is based on any kind of truth. But I have no doubt Cody has been talking to his friends.

If AEW is offering big money for lesser dates then Orton, Styles, and pretty much everyone in WWE would be foolish to pass.
Orton, Lesnar, Styles...they should be using AEW as leverage in order to get WWE to pay more. Good for them.

I could see Orton going to AEW.
He would get more money than he is getting in the WWE, because they seem to want to bring in top talent to AEW. He would have new matches and probably wouldn't be so stale and boring like he is in WWE right now.
It's like back when WCW was around. Guys like Hogan and Savage left for more money and a different place to work. Why wouldn't Orton do the same??

When AEW was first announced I was genuinely interested and was looking forward to giving it a try. Now I’m already at the point where I’m desperately hoping they fall flat on their face and fail. They’ve barely gotten off the ground and I’m already annoyed by them.
They’re being talked about like the greatest company that’s ever existed and they haven’t even put on one show yet. How can they possibly live up to all the hype? My interest in checking them out has steadily gone downhill since they were made official.

So the company possibly - keyword - reaching out to top tier talent....annoys you? How do you get that from his post. He's saying, how you've got large amount of fans, acting like AEW is already one of the best promotions to ever exist, without actually having a show is what's annoying him. Other then announcing they are going to be a new player on the board and announcing some of the talent they do have, they haven't actually done anything yet and people are already acting like they could put the crippling blow to WWE. And I honestly have that same mindset with him. Sure there should be some praise for trying to get something new started on a bigger level then your average indy promotion, but it's getting ridiculous how big some people have tried to already build it up to, just because it's the Elite that's involved, and they did All In. It's like people don't realize, there is a big difference between putting on a single show, and running an entire promotion.

Did anyone actually read these reports? It says orton is open to talk to aew, no contract offer or any talks have taken place according to the article. I'll translate that from wrestling dirt sheet talk to normal talk for everyone, it's made up bullsh*t.

If this is true, I think Orton should go. If he can get about the same or MORE money to do less dates for AEW, good for him. He can spend more time at home with his kids.
And in my opinion, he's grown stale in WWE over the years and removing him from WWE will open his spot up for a new face..and a change of scenery might help him as well.

What annoys me is that this is more than likely this is a story blown way out of proportion if not totally made up. What annoys me the most about AEW is that they themselves haven’t done anything to annoy me. Yet any little thing that happens in WWE, and so many people are immediately like “Another step for AEW taking down WWE!” It just seems like AEW is gonna be a victim of its own fans. People were so hyped about New Japan for a while and talking about how they were gonna take down WWE. I feel like ever since AEW was announced, they’ve faded. AEW is just really starting to come off as something with a bandwagon fan base.

Or on hasn't been entertaining or relevant in like 5 years. If I'm WWE I let him walk and use the money elsewhere. Randy Orton isnt going to be the face of any company and put thousands of asses in seats.

This all needs to stop. AEW is apparently signing evrryone. I'm already sick of AEW and they haven't even had a show yet

Since there are several people that dislike the AEW talk, maybe for the sake of all, why don't we push it all over to the other thread where those of us that like to discuss all the cool possibilities and such can do it with a positive surrounding. The true criticism is good, but the negativity is kind of a bummer.
