Yes, issue with the left shoulder on my E59 Balor, it won't rotate towards the back, like something is stuck inside. I cracked open a Sammy with the same problem, in that case the problem was that the peg in the chest had a seam line so bad it was blocking movement. So if Balor has the same problem, only cracking it open with let you fix it.
I'm gonna go crack open Balor right now while I still remember to do it lol

Mine had it, as did every member of Undisputed Era and Top Talents AJ. So happy to see Mattel is taking steps to fix an issue that's been happening for almost two years.

I don’t remember if it did or not. I know it doesn’t now. But any figure that I purchased with that problem all have been fixed by forcing the arm to rotate. HOF Piper (X3) and the last two Styles Elites suffered from it. But like I said I just forced them to rotate. Which would make the arm very loose. Then I just put one of those small rubber bands (the ones you get for braces) around the arm and slide it into the shoulder housing. And they are perfect. But I don’t remember if I did that to my Balors or not.

If you heat the shoulder up with a hair dryer and force it to rotate, it doesn’t get loose. I’ve done it to several figures. The heat makes the jagged piece inside softer, so that it can be turned.

If you heat the shoulder up with a hair dryer and force it to rotate, it doesn’t get loose. I’ve done it to several figures. The heat makes the jagged piece inside softer, so that it can be turned. I’ve tried multiple different heating methods with these faulty left shoulder Elites and they all resulted in the arm becoming extremely loose. I’m going to try the rubber bands used for braces method mentioned above to see if I can get a satisfactory result. As for the original question, my E59 Balor doesn’t have the shoulder issue. In my experience your chances of getting an unaffected figure that uses this style torso is 1 in 3 so it’s a gamble for sure. I had to buy three Viktor and AJ Elites before I got one with a functional shoulder joint so that’s where I get the ratio from. But at the same time all three of my Undisputed Era Elites had the shoulder issue so the odds may get worse depending on the figure.

Nope I just slide it up the arm until it goes into the shoulder housing. I use the extra rubber bands we have left over from when our daughter had braces. But you can use the clear ones packed to hold the figures in the bubble. Just wrap them around the arm until they are tight. You can use any small rubber band as long as you make it tight around the arm first.

I've used hair tie rubber bands before to tighten ankle joints. Just never thought to use them on a shoulder before.
