If they team up with Jakks eventually... Its been an idea that seems more and more likely to me as the days go by. With all the hype in AEW and the Young Bucks turning a dollar on anything imaginable you know damn well a figure contract is coming and I really can't see any other company more capable to deliver a quality product then Jakks. What do you guys think? Am I just a stupid jobber or any of you feeling the same way I am?

Is the assumption that AEW wants to have figures made that rival Mattel's WWE line? Based on what I see on the Jakks Pacific site, I can see them making something similar to Mattel's Core/Basic figures, but there's nothing they're currently making that makes me think they could make incredible fully articulated figures.
Whatever happens, I hope they don't go with Bandai and their wonky action figures with weird proportions.

Oh no we saw with TNA there is no competition when it comes to the Elites. The companies that could match the likeness couldn't come close to Mattel's articulation or even Jakks for that matter. I mean let's be honest Jakks made awesome figures for their time but now we are just so spoiled with these elites we get lost in that sometimes and the value Jakks figures have nowadays shows that (ugh...I'm not even gonna get started on that..). Obviously rivaling figure quality isn't a thing yet but with the cult following all the Being The Elite guys have some toy company is salivating at the prospect of making some awesome figures. I think the worst thing that could happen here is if spams line picked them up like they did those horrendous knock off ruthless aggression-ish ROH rubbish...

I'd love to see Tamashii Nations have a second go at pro wrestling Figuarts but I believe that's more of a collector's only thing, especially for the price. If they found a way to make a more cheap version of that, I'd be ALL IN

I'd like to see NECA or Diamond Select.

Jakks sold the RA molds right? As long as they don't use them I'll be in for some AEW figures (if AEW ever gets going)

I would like it if Jakks made new molds. Like a r3/DA hybrid. Not the hand joints. But something realistic with articulation.

The Bucks have worked with the company who's name shall not be named before. They would be my guess. Thinking they would be aimed at collectors. Most kids and casual fans have never heard of AEW. Not yet anyways.

If All Elite takes off at anything beyond a tiny niche level, I hope that they get figures that are better than what Jakks does. That roster really doesn't suit the Chris Masters 2005 physique that the Jakks bodies have.

If they get a national tv deal as expected, then there's a decent chance at seeing figures at some point. I'd like to something in similar style/scale to Mattel's figures. Obviously a company like Hasbro could pull that off, but I have no idea if they'd have any interest in AEW even if things went well.
If the figures look like something from 2008 or dollar store figures, then I have zero interest.

He will always come to mind when I come across RA's from now on! lol

Really thinking about it both those lines were missing what the other had so they kinda cancel out one another's flaws if done right.

Not yet anyways. It may sound crazy. But toys can be a great way to market your product to kids (go figure). I was one of the many kids who had BCA WWF figures before my parents EVER let me watch it on TV. I was a fan of guys like Dude Love, Triple H, etc just through osmosis. Same with the ToyBiz WCW figures. Just having the figures made me aware of the product and a fan of what I caught site of. Tho I cant really say if that same kind of marketing translates today in the same way. But WWE definetly sells figures pretty well still from what I can tell. but also it'd probably be a good a day to get to TV first and airing before we start talking figures I guess haha.

If they want any chance at success they need to flex their marketing and merchandising muscles. Toys would be a great way to do just that, along with the usual stuff like t-shirts and DVD/BLUs. Jakks getting the license would be fine with me if they would kick it up a notch and make new and better bodies. Scans and paint were always the pluses in Jakks corner and bodies were the minus.

I would love to see something in the vein of the Marvel/Toybiz TNA line. Still some of my favorite figures ever, and I think the size of some of the wrestler's announced would translate well into that size of figure.
The Elite Funko Pop's seemed to sell well around me, so why wouldn't a full fledged mass produced figure line?

Hasbro might have bought them from Marvel after they did Legendary Comic Book Heroes to protect someone doing another knock-off Marvel Legends line.
