He won't win it. But I genuinely feel he's a future 2 time hall of famer.Even before Mustafa got injured and he was given this monster push.
Guys a, what, 13 year vet? He deserves this small run even if it is over in a flash and we're all asking ourselves in 6 months: "remember when?"
I'm just happy for him.

Haha, so true! Where are all the talented men sized wrestlers now? I'm not talking about massive giants, just guys the size of Rick Rude and Steve Austin. Daniel Bryan, Kofi, AJ etc are all luchadors/cruiserweights in another era. men sized? lol. guarantee you Kofi and AJ are more jacked than you are. and there’s lots of 6’2 wrestlers. if you think Rick rude or Steve Austin would’ve been 230lb without serious steroids, you’re just delusional.

I guess so, if you like seeing flip/flop luchadors doing back flips off the top rope. Guys like Bruno are rolling in their graves watching cruiserweights beating legitimate tough guys like Samoa Joe and Randy Orton. Perhaps they can have Mysterio beat Lesnar next.

If they can put the strap on jinder, they can put the strap on anyone. That was trying to help viewership in other countries. They have TVs in Jamaica. I know he’s from Ghana

The New Day has been one of the biggest acts in the company for years now. And Kofi was popular before the stable. Him getting put as a face in a big spot as a fill in against a heel champion is going to get over.

Here’s the thing,
It’s awesome that Kofi is getting this career resurgence. He’s honestly been one of the most consistent guys on the roster for the longest. But...it’s not the time to put the strap on him. You can’t just throw the title on him after a 2-3 week build because, guess what....All of you fickles will stop caring. The best part of his title run would be him actually winning it. Then where do you go from there? Who does he work with next? You wasted a moment that could have been built over the Summer. So to you whiners who bitched that Kofi didn’t win the title who claimed it would have been awesome, don’t know the first thing about story longevity, and y’all would have been the first ones to complain about how “boring” of a champ he would have been.

I've changed my mind. Let Kofi win the title. I want to see everyones reaction when he makes the main plate on the title a pancake.

Guess I'll point out the obvious feud he'd have. The New Day implodes over the title. Too easy. You know that's WWE Logic lmao but they'd probably be unwilling to risk the merch sales so it would be a "friendly rivalry" with no real threat of him losing the strap or New Day disbanding.

I think you’re confused. Bruno was disgusted with the steroids and lifestyle of the guys in the 80s, he publicly trashed Hogan and McMahon and what wrestling had come into. he would most definetly appreciate the athleticism of cruiser weights. people thought the same way about the 80s - King Kong bundy thought randy savage was way too small and couldn’t be in a ring with him. can you imagine savage without steroids? keep living in la la land.

Yeah I’m not sure if that is a gimmick or not but I think some are forgetting that is this professional wrestling and sports entertainment.

As i watched the gauntlet match and then the chamber I literally felt like it was suppose to be mustafa ali in place of kofi. I really think if mustafa wasnt hurt we would be seeing the same story playing out. All i see is kofi filled the spot so well and because of the fan response wwe is rolling with it. But to me its obvious this spot was meant for mustafa...question is would he have pulled it off or got the same response

The New Day are over and marketable so it's about time they've been moved to the main event.

Fans: "Give us something new"
WWE: "Here's something different"
Fans: "No, something else new"
I think a Bryan vs Kofi program is far better than watching Bryan vs AJ again. Better than Bryan vs Orton. It's new and so far Kofi has taken the ball and ran with it. I'm happy to see something new and I'm happy for him. Hopefully this resurgence helps New Day find a new direction too.
