So, what was the Orton incident with Kofi? I only got back into watching the past few years. Thanks. Kofi was at the start of a main event push and he was in a feud with Orton. Kofi missed a spot in a match on RAW in early 2010. It probably would have gone unnoticed, but Orton threw a tantrum in the ring, then reportedly went backstage and continued to gripe about Kofi. Orton was one of the top talents at the time, so someone backstage halted Kofi's push to placate Orton. While it's a fact that many backstage rumors are embellished or completely untrue, it you view the match, you can clearly see Orton lose his temper and break kayfabe. That's why this rumor is pretty well-known and generally believed. I believe he was supposed to stay down to take a punt kick from Orton and kept getting up, and eventually Orton gave him an RKO and yelled “stupid!” at him several times. This week on SDL Kofi yelled “stupid!” a few times after a series of moves on Orton 😂

Just an impression but Ortan seems like the kind of guy with a big ego that would do something like that, haha.

I can honestly say I’ve been a fan of Kofi for a long time, and have always seen potential in him to hold a major championship. I’m just happy that people are finally seeing it too and recognising his talent and his hard work over the years.

The size argument is the dumbest crap I've ever heard. Oh no he's too small, I like my champion big and muscular with lots of baby oil. Yeah, the size argument is just plain grasping. Even if you disregard the 30 year shift from "the land of the giants" to today, the last three champions share an average difference in weight of approximately four pounds between them, and about one inch height difference, in all. Kofi is perfectly within class, size wise, as Daniel Bryan or AJ Styles. Hell, Kofi isn't even the smallest among them. Ric Flair made a HOF career out of the David vs Goliath scenario. How often was he the smaller man in his matches? I'd say 90-95% of the time.

Pretty hard to believe a tiny little tag team guy can beat a guy like Orton or Samoa Joe. Very poor booking Five years ago, the tiny little guy from Team Hell No beat Orton in the main event of WrestleMania. Beat Triple H that night as well.

This Kofi resurgence reminds me of Eddie Guerrero in 2004. His title opportunity and win just kinda came out of no where. He was the hot hand and WWE just ran with it.

I'd like it if at Fastlane Luke Harper returns to help Bryan retain the title. Then we could get a mini Bryan/Bludgeon Brothers vs New Day feud for a few weeks. After a six man match on SD, Kofi pins Bryan again. This causes a McMahon or Trips to come out and announce Kofi vs Bryan at WM. Then we could get Woods/Big E vs BB also on the (probably pre-)show. Have The BB win to make it look like Kofi has the odds against him. Then later have Kofi win the title regardless.
Then the WWE could either...
1)ride with New Day as a trio. 2)they could have either Woods or Big E get jealous of Kofi's new found success. 3)Have Kofi realize New Day has been holding him back and he leaves them behind.
All 3 options could work. Having 3 viable options is a good problem to have.

I'll take number one so as to not bury the tag tram division any more than it already is bc it would 100% turn into a handicap deal and Kofi would go over both of them. It's completely outrageous seeing a baby face whoop on 2 or 3 people who are way bigger than him and can also fight as well 😂😂 back when Cena beat Umaga and Khali in a handicap match or Nexus I knew there was no bounds the WWE wouldn't go to in order to get someone over.

I think a New Day triple threat at Mania would be cool. Kind of like the Legacy triple threat with Orton/Cody/DiBiase.

Three is the right way to go. New day has always been trash If Kofi did that he could be a legit champion but as long as he has the New Day by his side then he's just a comedy act.

I dunno where they do it, either Fastlane or Wrestlemania, but I love the idea of Kofi having Bryan beat and Big E costing him the match. Do it at Wrestlemania and you've got a hell of a heel on your hands
