not sure why anyone expected anything different really. the way the commentators talk about things nowadays is ing atrocious. my god. everything is just soooooooo forced and over-the-top.

i wonder if they are ever gonna do anything with Corbin besides have him be the fall guy in multi-man matches and be the heel that always gets beat up time after time

I dont care if literally every other person disagrees, I'll like the shield no matter how many times it comes and goes. They made this stuff fun again.

Seems like they only removed Becky from the Mania match so that they could squeeze in Charlotte and pretend we should all be happy Becky is even in the match when they know damn well we would have been just fine with Becky vs Ronda.

Instead of adding Charlotte, now it looks like they added Becky. Which makes no sense because she won the rumble. Which in today’s standards means, you’re going to WrestleMania for a week until they overbook you out of the match only so you can re-gain entry into the match you already had gained entry into.

I also enjoyed everything tonight being “vintage shield”. Like apparently them saying “all for one and one for all”:which iv literally never heard them say...EVER.

This is the company that basically made Orton untouchable for the winning the Rumble in 2009 even after he kicked Vince in the head, this whole triple threat storyline has been crap since the Rumble. Becky wins it, gets suspended, has to apologize to get her spot back, gets suspended again and replaced with a SmackDown superstar, gets re-instated and then has to win her spot back by beating Charlotte, who she eliminated last in the Rumble and has beaten on a number of occasions beforehand? Ridiculous. Becky vs Ronda alone could be the main event of WrestleMania and itd be great considering how at each others throats theyve been since before Survivor Series.

Unless there was an opponent that you could build another major feud around: say Asuka, who would have cherished the opportunity to rectify her loss to Charlotte last year, while Charlotte could tout that Asuka was a scrub that never could and never will defeat her with the championship on the line. That way WWE could really show off how much they respect women by featuring two great matches at the biggest show of the year instead of putting all their ovarian eggs in one basket in a messy, convoluted "throw sh*t against the wall and see what sticks" program for one brand with all the stars while the other "co-equal" Women's title match gets no coverage or focus whatsoever.

But that's only if WWE had that option available to them...

The WWE tiitle match was awkward. Everyone clearly wanted Kofi in the match, don't know what they're trying with Owens at the moment its clearly not working neither is his weak ads stunner, rename it the mild surprise if hes going to continue using it. And what was the point in Ali coming back like that? He just got buried by bad booking.

I totally disagree. I understand, it’s the first ever women’s main event, but it was built on Becky vs Ronda. Charlotte is an important piece to the overall picture, but not this picture. We don’t need to thank her by squeezing her into a match that doesn’t need her. This is all being done so that years from now, long after they kick Becky and Ronda to the curb, they can still promote Charlotte as being in the first women’s main event at mania. It’s fabricating history rather than just allowing it to play out naturally.

Charlotte had an opportunity to main event mania last year with Asuka. That was just as high profile of a match and they couldn’t get enough buzz behind it. This is like Becky and Ronda pulling the load uphill and when they do, squeezing Charlotte into the story saying she helped pull it....AFTER it’s already been done. Make no mistake about it, Charlotte is in this match to claim all the glory, otherwise, she wouldn’t be in the match at all seeing as she wasn’t needed to build it.

If we’re going to credit all the women along the way that made this possible by including them into this match, It would be a much bigger match. But the truth is, the 2 women that directly made this possible are Becky and Ronda.
