i saw someone who does custom hasbro 2 ups. as a collector.....would a custom 2 UP be just as good as getting an actual legit 2 UP?
i love the 2 UPS mainly cause of the size and they are really a cool display piece. for me it would be a cost effective alternative cause i am interested in the warrior and i'm sure an actual 2 UP of him is priced through the roof
was wondering others thoughts when it comes to the rare pieces. would you rather own the real deal or would a custom be just as good?

So couple things.
A custom version, although cool as can be that we have the technology to produce them now, is simply NOT the real thing. Thus, no, it's just not the same.
That said, unless my financial situation improves about tenfold, there's ZERO chance of me obtaining a REAL 2up. Therefore, I'd be one of the people who would have to settle with a repro/custom piece. Which is cool in itself, albeit, just for the novelty.
All that said, no it's NOT the same thing.. or even as cool as the REAL thing.
Lastly, ever since seeing my first 2up online, my minds gone nuts of the idea of how AWESOME it'd have been to own the whole line in 2up size as a kid. Hasbros are my favorite hands down, having had them double the size in working playable condition would've just been aaaaawwweessooommeee!!

Well 2Ups were part of the developement process and never intended to end up in the public. Ofcourse 2Ups eventually got to collectors. While I'd love a Jannetty 2 2Up I'll never settle for a custom; in my opinion these customs shouldn't exist. 10 years from now many collectors will believe these customs are the real deal...

Not to mention the absurd custom "test shots".
