I just saw that the viewership for Raw went up from last week by like 300,000. I'm talking about the average viewership. Do you think it was because of the sudden debut of the nxt wrestlers or was it just a good week? Other than the NXT debuts(as random as they were) it was a very underwhelming show. Do you think this will happen in the future when viewership is down?
I like that they debuted on the main roster, but it was too random and out of place. Should have happened after wrestlemania. If Dave Meltzer is correct(and that is a huge if), Gargano, Ciampa, Ricochet, and Black will be on all 3 brands for some reason...

Probably just a temporary boost. If the names on the main roster can’t boost ratings permanently, then no one from NXT will either.

Not only was in a small surge of new talent, we also got new/fresh match ups. Sure we've seen DIY vs The Revival before, but never on WWE TV. But seeing Ricochet, and Black mix it up with main roster talent was fun. All the debuts delivered even though the crowd was dead for most of the show.
WWE really needs to reshuffle some talent and give some new names some direction. It's currently happening on SD with Kofi, and so far the crowd is responding. Give us more of that, NXT talent or not.

Probably a mix of the NXT guys, it being Wrestlemania season, and the holiday on Monday. It was good timing to have those guys on the shows and announce it in advance.

NXT guys appearing on the main show is always special so if it's advertised people will tune in.

I worry about these call ups.
Look at Roode, Sanity, AOP; they haven't even helped build these guys up. Now these new guys are getting called up.
WWE is becoming over crowded with new wrestlers that they're not going to push to the main event.
What's going to happen the RAW after Wrestlemania when they call up more guys.

I love NXT so I'm happy for these guys, but I see this as WWE being in panic mode. What are they going to do with all of the talent coming up? There are only so much time for each show and PPV. Some of these guys are going to be left off Mania or just thrown into the Battle Royal so whats the point? I wish/hope they have a plan for these guys that doesn't hold back others that are still fighting to get an opportunity on the main roster (Andrade, Sanity, EC3, Bobby Roode somewhat, Apollo Crews).

I'm so ing confused right now. That's literally my only input on the situation. I can't even make my mind up if it's a good thing or a bad thing.

Sure it was cool seeing them but it's WrestleMania season. That's the boost in ratings.

Sure it was cool seeing them but it's WrestleMania season. That's the boost in ratings. Last year for wrestlemania season they were getting well over 3 million a week. This year so far, they haven't hit 3 million at all. I think if it wasn't for the NXT guys viewership would have either gone down or risen slightly. The extra 300,000 fans tuned in when they found out those guys would appear. I'm sure at least 300,000 of the million network subscribers watch NXT.

Oh and if we have a brand extension why are all 4 going to be on both brands and NXT? Doesn't make sense. Could be just Meltzer nonsense.

The last figures I saw they said about a fourth of the subscriptions watched nxt and even less 205.

I think at least some of the bump has to be attributed to having fresh faces and matchups and a "what's going to happen?" effect.
But getting a one week bump vs drawing in viewers are totally different things. And on that front I have zero idea how to feel. The booking has been strong so far and they weren't randomly thrown together into a stable like the Riott Squad or Mandy and Sonya's debuts. But there doesn't seem to be any real plan or booking beyond they're fresh faces with solid booking after 2 nights. And they seemingly managed to blow up a year-plus (or over two years if you consider their run as a tag team part of the story) of some of the best longterm storytelling I've ever seen with Johnny and Ciampa when you're about two seconds from the climax of the story, all seemingly on a whim. I'm just...confused. But I guess confused will get me to watch, which is more than I can say for any other booking on RAW in the past 3 years.

WWE is becoming over crowded with new wrestlers that they're not going to push to the main event. What's going to happen the RAW after Wrestlemania when they call up more guys. Vince is creating a new sink or swim environment with young and hungry talent. Besides the more new faces the easier it is to pull guys off the show who aren't catching with their characters and repackage them like they've done with others to some degree of success like Heath Slater, Harper, Rowan etc

I legit believe that you could build a wrestling company around those four guys so maybe they called them up to stop them leaving and going elsewhere? I really do not think there is any one of the main rosters better than any of those four guys.
