Well now the Packers will be really bad, and I don't see the Jets doing that well either.

The Patriot fans don't like when you bring that up. - Iron Heart I really don't care. For a Patriot fan to criticize the Packers organization over this media circus is simple hypocrisy. Spygate was the biggest mess the NFL has ever seen and was talked about through week 17 and beyond last season. No offense, but this post is downright insulting and probably one of the dumbest things I've ever read. Are you serious, the Patriots organization created Spygate and kept going? ARE WE SERIOUS? This was a mistake, they were caught and the media blew it up, where as the Packers and Favre, both of them, have added fuel to the fire. Seriously, your comparison is so off its not even funny. Blame the media, but dont blame Tom Brady or Belichick for talking about it or going on the air like Favre and McCarthy through this. Wow. The Jets are still going to suck and finish a distant 2nd anyways

All I'm saying is that Spygate was a bigger eyesore and bigger disruption for the NFL than this Favre thing will ever be and as a Patriot fan to criticize the Packers OR Brett Favre over this issue is hypocritical. It is. I'm not going to get into the Spygate deal in this thread because what we're talking about isn't even related to that issue. All I'm saying is that as a Patriot fan, he (and presumably you) need to pick your battles when discussing how big of a problem this Favre thing is for the NFL.

You obviously do not understand the comparison, the Packers themselves and Brett Favre himself added to this....for weeks and months, they did it....the Patriots did not add to the media fire at all. Theres a HUGE difference in what is going on and every person or fan has a right to bitch, because its become a soap opera drama that should've ended in March when he fake retired. Spygate, steroids, Favre whomever...they are all media driven, this is true, but a lot of times players such as Bonds and or Favre also drive it themselves. I as a Patriot fan thought Spygate was a joke, they ed up, they got punished, end of story, but Peter King and King of Dread on this board kept bringing it up...not the Patriots. Where as Brett Favre, Mike McCarthy, Ted Thompson, Bud Cook all kept talking and talking and talking, and faking each other out and threatening....that was the difference between that and Spygate.

Where as Brett Favre, Mike McCarthy, Ted Thompson, Bud Cook all kept talking and talking and talking, and faking each other out and threatening....that was the difference between that and Spygate. On the contrary, they are very much alike. The Patriots caused that mess when they were caught taping games. Nobody forced them to tape games, they did it on their own. When they got busted then it became a big deal that the commissioner had the tapes destroyed and the reason for the destroying of the tapes. I personally don't think in either of these situations the parties involved are at fault. Sure, for both situations (Favregate/Spygate) some things should have been handled differently by the parties involved. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AM I BLAMING PATRIOTS FANS FOR SPYGATE. All I'm saying is that as a fan of the team that caused the biggest mess in NFL history to spout that Favre and the Packers should be ashamed of this and the black eye they've put on pro football is honestly unfair and hypocritical. Let's try and remember, we're dealing with management egos and a future hall of famer's status in the NFL. It's a bit of a bigger deal emotionally for the parties involved than Bill Bellichick needing dirt on other teams for upcoming games. That being said, the resolution was A HELL OF A LOT quicker than last year's game taping debacle that WILL ABSOLUTELY haunt that team for years to come. It's almost better for that team that they lost the Super Bowl because had they won people would have gave them the big "well what if games weren't taped." Personally, it doesn't matter to me. Favre's at the Jets, I don't have to deal with him in the NFC anymore. Congrats to Pats fans on your 1 loss season.

Blame the media, but dont blame Tom Brady or Belichick for talking about it or going on the air like Favre and McCarthy through this. Wow. The Jets are still going to suck and finish a distant 2nd anyways I dont know what you mean by distant second.......to me that means more than 5 games out. I dont see that. In fact......I'll boldy predict that the Jets get one from NE this season, finish with at least 9 wins....possibly 10 and sneak into the playoffs. I dont think NE can be as good as they were last season. They didnt make hardly any moves in the offseason to improve. Their defense is another year older and their secondary is plagued. Where the Jets have bolstered their defense, adding some experience and have a talented secondary. Their offensive lines is one of the best in the league, which will open up the running game and take pressure off of Favre. The biggest problem for the Jets is getting Favre up to speed with the offense there, b/c it is so complex. But he's a football guy and it'll be fine. Besides.....he is Brett Favre. As far as you or Kliquid or anyone else who wants to ridicule my prediction, I have been known to know a little something. I did predict the Browns to make the playoffs last season......after being ridiculed and told that the Browns traded the #1 overall pick in 2008 to the Cowboys. I also predicted that Colt Brennan would be drafted, eventhough a few people said he would not be. And I also stated that the Jets had as much of a chance as TB in getting Favre and not to buy into those rumors from 2 days ago.....that it was all but a done deal.
