You have the Dolphins being a serious threat in 2 years?! Based on what? Parcells? They dont have the physical talent to do so. You can't put Parcells down to a 5-6 year window...when he picks a team he wants immediate results no matter what....I'm also basing it on the fact that no matter what they lost 6 games by a field goal...that's 6 games that could have gone either way...with an "experienced" QB I see them actually getting at least 5-6 wins this season...next season could be completely different as the cap is going to be gone and Parcells could have his pick in free agents. I cant see that. I know Parcells has a history of turning around a franchise. And I believe it can be done. But they dont have the pieces to the puzzle. Right now they have an injury prone RB, a QB that needs to get acclamated with Miami and its players with a weak arm, and a #1 draft pick that I am not convinced is gonna be someone really special. They still need so much and they traded away their veteran leadership. I definitely do not believe they can get 5-6 wins this season. While the Dolphins lost some games by just a few points, they were losing games to 2 divisional opponenents who went out and have improved their squads, espcially the Jets. Secondly, the Dolphins were a better team last year. I honestly feel, they have digressed and will win no more than 3 this year. I watched the highlight clip and it looked like his passes were off the mark and surprisingly Roddy White was able to make some good catches. He had great stats......but it looked like White had to work extra hard. Regardless, something for Falcon fans to be happy about. That TD pass wasn't a great throw. He looked like a rookie for sure. I dount the highlights showed the good throws he made, since they weren't for touchdowns. But, he already looks like a better passer than Vick. Definitely better than Vick. I think Ryan can be a really good QB.....definitely a player the Falcons can build around. The highlight package showed about 7 passes. He played like a rookie, like you said......but there seems to be a lot of potential here. He had a quick release and wasnt holding onto the ball for ages.

Same old sorry ass rams... Kinda stupid you base the Rams first pre-season game as something serious right now. Consider the fact they had no Witherspoon, Long, O.J., Carriker, Fahkir Brown, Donnie Avery, SJax, etc. last night... You honestly thought that Hasslet was going to play a strong ass defense in a pre-season game? Put Chris Johnson up against the defensive line of Little, Long, Carriker, and Ryan with Will in the middle and O.J. in the box as well...and he doesn't do shit... Rams fans already getting worried over a pre-season game where the 3rd and 4ths were the ones getting burned...not the 1st teamers. I'm guessing since the Pats lost to Baltimore that they're garbage now, too? Psh.

Long and Carriker did play, Long was mainly responsible for that Chris Johnson TD. I'm just saying I expected more from the offense.Torry Holt had 2 dropped passes and Bulger was 3-9 with a int.(it was a tipped pass so it wasnt totally his fault) And "same old sorry ass Rams" Is what the niners always used to say everytime they beat our ass up until the '99 season.

Why all of a sudden do Jets fans act like they have the best team in history? I understand you just got the best QB of all time, and you're excited, but really, calm down. Are they forgetting this is the same team that lost 12 games last year? Sure your team will improve, but they are acting like it's the second coming of Jesus. Favre is not gonna magically win the Super Bowl, stop saying you're going to the promised land. Did we forget about the Colts, the Patriots, Chargers? Favre had a better team in GB last year, had one of his best seasons, and walked away with a loss in the NFC Championship game. He's not taking you to the promise land this year, hell, they'll be lucky to get a Wildcard spot(there is no way they win the division over NE). Being excited is one thing, being over dramatic is another.

Anyone else think The Patriots back-up QB Matt Cassel really sucks? I'm not a Pats fan, but anyway what if if Brady gets hurt the Pats are as good as screwed for however long Brady would be out.

Being excited is one thing, being over dramatic is another. I dont know what Jets fans you've been talking too. But you know how people get when their team makes a huge acquisition like this. Being a Jets fan, there has been few and far for us to cheer about. Getting Brett Favre makes the Jets relevant again. Now you said this is the same team that lost 12 games last season. I beg to differ. In the offseason we added Kris Jenkins to the defense and Alan Faneca and Damien Woody to the offensive line. Calvin pace was added to the linebacking core, Tony Richardson who is probably the best FB in the game right now, Jesse Chatman and Musa Smith for a change of pace back. They also drafted Dustin Keller, who will have a chance to work with Brett's former TE Bubba Franks, who was also added to the roster. The Jets did some massive overhauling and big spending in the offseason. This team is built to win now. Favre, Franks, Faneca and Jenkins are all on the downside of their careers. But to say this is the same team that lost 12 last year......hardly. Can they win the division? Its possible. I dont think they do it. But its possible. I am betting they contend for the division, but ultimately win 10-11 games on their way to a Wildcard birth. Time will tell. But dont confuse this team with last year's team.

I'm pissed Batch got hurt.
Steelers signing Leftwich....interesting.....
Guess they don't have as much faith in their rookie QB(s) as they did 4 years ago.
IDK....I thought Dixon was decent.

On a sad note Justin King rookie cb on the Rams tore a ligament in his toe and will have surgery and miss the rest of the season.

He calls me "brother" now.

Man, The Panthers first stringers looked sharp on defense. Two forced turnovers in 2 straight possessions.
I would hate to be the QB's in Atlanta, and Tampa with Peppers looking more determined then ever.

True story. The man who beat him in Super Bowl 32 is. you mean the guy who played like **** for 3 quarters until the 4th? No, the guy that rallied his team and beat the crapout of Green Bay. And, then came back to do it the very next year against Atlanta.

Can someone be serious here and help me with something? When Madden comes out, even with the roster update, the rosters won't be up to date for awhile. Could any of you guys help me trim down the 80 man roster from the Dolphins to 53ish? Some are clear cut to make the roster, but a lot of them are no names and I'm not really sure. I just want it to be as accurate as I can make it for when I start franchise.
