Good ending, but could've been executed better. I mean if he's there, let him appear for before the live crowd as opposed to via video. While it created instant heat, Batista and Flair never really had any problems...and with this whole thing coming "out of left field" it seems misplaced. I just would've liked to have seen more done because you know his availability is going to be limited. If it was me booking, I leave out the special guests besides HHH, Stephanie, Flair, and Flair's wife in the ring. Let Flair make his entrance to hype the crowd. Just as they're about to sing happy birthday...have Batista's music hit, he comes out to a pop, and he interrupts. Make it seem like Batista is there to surprise ric...big smile and all. Then as Batista is smiling and pointing at Ric and calling him the man, have Batista do the thumbs down as he attacks Flair and HHH, trashes the entire party, hits one of the guys with that belt, grabs cake and throws it on top of flair/hhh in disrespect...grabs the mic and says "Do I have your attention now Hunter"...then you see him walking up the ramp as he motions to the current roster like he's gonna hit them and they back away/flinch. Maybe 15 years ago I saw an interview with Al Snow how he described the process behind making an audience pop and how to get them to that point, and what was done tonight just doesn't do it...WWE went 30% before they went for it. Sounds good in theory but you’re forgetting that Flair is 70 and probably couldn’t take bumps like that anymore. I like the fact that Batista dragged him out and just let us use our imagination to how bad he beat him. I do agree with you that the only thing I would have done differently is not to the backstage bit. I would have had Dave drag Flair to the stage then walk away. Ya that would've worked too. There wouldn't have been any serious moves done, maybe some punches and a clotheslines. The focus should be more on psychological aspect of Batista stealing Flair's spot lot and ruining the party than the physical altercation. Showing Dave dragging the camera man reminded me of in 2007 when they showed Jericho clotheslining the marathon runner before they code was revealed. I always felt that detracted from what was otherwise one of the best moments in wresting. I think showing Dave dragging the camera man was also a miss. If you stick with Batista dragging Flair out of the dressing room, pain up to the Ric Flair sign on the door...it opens to show Batista..which gets a massive pop...then you show him dragging Flair.

my single biggest burning question out of tonight's RAW:: What did they do with all that giant-sized cake?

Do you guys even read and listen to Meltzer? Neither of those sound like him at all. If I wanted to read a bunch of made up bullcrap, I'd rather spend my time reading the National Enquirer. Stories about crop circles and lizard people are far more entertaining than Dave's nonstop AEW propaganda machine. He’s a nonstop AEW propaganda machine, but u don’t listen or read his stuff. Does that make sense to you? I HATE national enquier. I have never read it nor do I want to. That makes me look pretty dumb to have an opinion like that on something I know nothing about right? 😑

Pretty decent Raw last night with The Big Dog's return, The Man being a bad-ass (again) and the NXT guys. Could we finally be seeing the change they promised lol.

my single biggest burning question out of tonight's RAW:: What did they do with all that giant-sized cake? hahah thank you for this! That was amazing! The cake was not hindered by Jindered! He slide right off from that angle slam haha. Honestly THAT was the best moment of RAW last night. Notice how Sting never got physically involved with the talent...I guess he is really done

Oh no Ric leaked Batista’s dick pics!! Well, if it puts an end to the endless questioning on the matter on shoot interviews... Much, MUCH better episode of Raw in comparison to last week. Great opener and closer and loved the seemingly non-stop flow of the show.

Did anyone happen to catch Roman’s GMA interview? I’m curious to see what he said.

I love how many people are butt hurt with Bats coming back. It was something fun and a little unexpected, sorry, I didn't know he was there but all of you who are IN THE KNOW are so much cooler than the rest of us. But yea, I thought it was a nice ending. Of course we're getting the last Shield match on Mania as well and I can't wait to see all the screams and tears about that, I haven't read back that far, but I'm sure it's there. "Wah wah wah, give us surprises, wah wah wah, give us something different, wah wah wah, I don't like this because it's not what I WANT"
I can't wait for the numerous "I'M BOYCOTTING WRESTLEMANIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" threads we're bound to get any day now.
lol

God that last bit with Batista was some of the most interesting storytelling and camera work in many years.

It was a solid RAW, but I don't think it was that much than any other RAW over the past month. Sure it's nice to see Batista back, but I just felt disappointed that Flair's birthday celebration was used to create a feud between Batista and Triple H, rather than adding to the Becky Lynch/Charlotte Flair/Ronda Rousey feud. We've seen Batista VS Triple H at WrestleMania before, why do we need to see it again? Perhaps it's my own fault for assuming, but I can't help but feel let down that they missed that opportunity for Lynch/Flair/Rousey. They could have had Becky crash RAW and get arrested literally any other RAW of the WM build. Why wouldn't Becky have some sort of interaction with Charlotte's father when he's right there, and Charlotte is clearly so integral to this story? It seemed like the most obvious thing in the world to me, yet they completely missed it.
Nice to see Aleister Black and Ricochet continuing building wins, though it's really puzzling why they're a tag team rather than continuing as singles stars. Having them beat the Revival just takes away from the Revival when it seemed as though they were building them up. Really odd booking choices.
It's fantastic to see Roman Reigns back, and I'm very happy to hear that he's in remission, and is now able to return.
I'm glad that WWE have dropped the sirens in Dean Ambrose's theme, and he's stopped wearing that awful brown jacket. I don't mind that they didn't do much to cause a face turn, but I'm glad he's back to his old self. I quite enjoyed his interaction with Elias.
What on earth are they doing with Lacey Evans?! It's just really dumb having her spam and then walk away without doing anything. It feels like "we haven't figured out what we're doing with her yet, so this is your weekly reminder that she exists!". That's literally the only purpose she serves right now. She's the 2019 female version of 2012 Chris Jericho, only Jericho had a storyline purpose to it.
Every week, the Moment of Bliss segments keep on getting better and better. I really prefer Alexa in this role to her wrestling. Much more entertaining. Her segment with Balor was good fun.
At least Heavy Machinery did something, even if it wasn't that good of a segment.
Really pleased to see the Boss 'n Hug Connection's momentum continue. I thought Sasha's hairstyle looked pretty cool.
It was fantastic to see Rollins and Reigns come to Ambrose's rescue, and them just walking away instead of helping Ambrose up is consistent storytelling.

So...is Lacey Evans a face? Even with that gimmick? I like it. It’s kind of cocky cool.

Just saw The Batista segment. My only complaint is Kevin Dunn's shitty camera work

Triple h better do the ing job. As if he didn’t at Wrestlemania, Backlash, and Vengeance lol I'm actually hoping H goes over this time around, solely because Backlash is the only other PPV I've attended, and if I'm gonna see a repeat match, I want the outcome to switch.

Dean’s heel turn sucked so bad it bored Roman’s cancer into remission just to get the Shield back together for the seventh time in two years OMG 😂

That was incredible, can’t wait to see how this develops over the weeks leading to mania. Only thing that would’ve made it better is if flair was bloody like a ruthless aggression era segment Flair was def like “let me blade, it’ll be so much better! I can take it Vince” He couldn't resist lifting his shirt up at the end to show off his ripped old man torso.
