There is a report out that Kurt is in rough shape after wrestling recently and he may just retire instead of doing a mania match. Wouldn’t blame him. We all like to see him but it’s been obvious for awhile for his long term health he needs to be done.

Before people ask, it’s wrestlevotes and rajah reporting this. Two of the better sources lately.

I read that. Could be legit. Could be a swerve. Kurt comes out with an announcement, Drew comes out to interrupt and it all ends in a retirement match at mania.

There is no reason why Kurt Angle has to wrestle anyhow now. Everything he has done in the WWE since coming back in a wrestling stand point has been horrible. Not his wrestling, but the story lines, and such. The only good match he has had though is with Drew McIntyre on Raw a few months ago, so maybe the wrestling isn't as good either.

Let him face Bryan or Gable for his retirement match, honestly.

Let him face Bryan or Gable for his retirement match, honestly. Why? His two most wanted dream matches, at least judging from what fans have said.

Angle doesn't need to retire at Mania. Why take away from everything else and just make it about him? Make a retirement match for Raw. Not everyone needs a ride off into the sunset on a main PPV.

I'd love to see Angle tear it up one more time, but as the biggest Angle fan ever I can see that he's a shell of his former self. The best matches he's had since returning have been the tag matches with the Shield and Ronda. The McIntyre match was sad to watch, and it never got better. I was always expecting the cyborg to appear and show everyone how it's done. He was still having Damn good matches less than two years ago, so the mark in me hoped for one last heel run with one of the World titles (with Gable and Jordan as Team Angle). I was waiting and begging for him to come out...but it never happened. Its in the past. At this point I'll take him not getting hurt or embarrassed any worse over a polite farewell story. Nothing can change the fact that he's been in many of the greatest matches of all time, he's the greatest wrestler of the 2000's, and still up there in the 2010's. There's been a clear nosedive in the past 2 years though, and he's suffered some pretty significant injuries in his time. Its amazing he was able to go at that level for as long as he did. He has nothing to prove

Just give him one last swan song before before he hangs the boots up for good. Whether it be Mania or the night after. He deserves it.

it’s sad because up until only a few years ago he could still ‘go’. I wish he’d made it back to wwe earlier but at least he’s gotten his moment in returning.

He was taking all sorts of pills back then for pain and other muscle relaxers, now thats he clean you can see the difference in how he moves about.

I hate his current run. He's being booked like a has-been who can't go anymore and gets his ass kicked constantly by the younger guys.
Being an Angle fan it's so painful to watch.

Angle is one of my top five all-time favourites so it’s hard to see him suffering so much. I reckon a retirement match at WrestleMania is the best way to send off a star of Angle’s magnitude. I suppose it makes the most sense for it to be against Drew.

His match last year at WM was fun, so at least he got that last WM moment if nothing else.

Angle's return has been really sad these last two years and he clearly can't go anymore. But even with that said he still deserves one final match on a big stage,I wouldn't have him wrestle at Wrestlemania this year but instead save his retirement match for the next PPV i.e. a B level PPV to increase buys and for him to get more of the spotlight on him as it should be.Right now with how Mania is shaping up at best his retirement match would probably be sixth or seventh in terms of importance on the card.
Build up a feud in the next month or month in a half and then have a finale match and under sometype of gimmick as well if he's healthy enough like a NO DQ Match,Hardcore,Street Fight something where weapons can be used to hide his short comings.
You could have him work his final match with any of Styles,Cena,Joe,Benjamin,Gable or Bryan all of which I think would be fitting in one form or another for his final match.
