I recently decided to sell my Hasbro mailaway Hulk & Bret. I was in two minds for ages, but my business is taking the next step in growth, and well, I needed a front door... I know.
Anyway I thought I’d document it, a silly little goodbye intro but with a fantastic unboxing at their new home, at the other side of the world.
I really didn’t want to sell them, but couldn’t ignore the opportunity to raise required funds. I don’t think I’ll be in a position to purchase them again, that’s the bit that ‘hurts’ haha. I’m so glad they went to this particular collector. We never knew each other before and both he and his family seem so happy with their new additions. It’s my favourite video I’ve made so far.
It’s ridiculous how figures can actually trigger emotions. Haha.
Ever sold a figure and regreted it?

I would be gutted too. I have so many things and while I have never had a problem getting rid of duplicate items, I am not how I would react to selling the entire collection. I have so much that I am not even sure how I would do it.

I have so much that I am not even sure how I would do it. Absolutely. I’ve contemplated the selling my Moc ring and yellow KOTR. My wife was interestingly the one who said “but we only need 1 front door”. So glad she did.

I had a Fighting Furies Ghost of Captain Kidd figure, still in the "coffin". I saw it first when I was on vacation in Holland in the late 70s. I could never remember the name of it. 30+ years later, I got the internet. I found one on 3bay for a nice price. I kept it for a few years, but had to sell it due to a quite expensive car problem.
I got to enjoy owning it for a while, and I sold it at a profit. But all it did was sit in a storage container in my closet. I'm starting to wonder if I should sell most of my collection off.

I had several hundred 60's and 70's (DC mainly - Superman, Superboy, Batman, Legion of Super Heroes, Justice League, et al).

I've been selling stuff off like crazy on Ebay and it was stuff that I said I would never sell from my personal collection. I still have my loose Hasbro set in my attic that will stay, everything else I'm dumping sold off a lot of my DC, Jakks Wrestling/ Rocky, Disney Cars, among other things. After the first few things got packed and shipped I had a little bit of sadness, now I just want to get rid of as much as possible, I'll have more room in my house,

I'm currently trying to sell my 1/100 Jakks Jimmy Hart but I think one day I could probably regret it...

The collector and his girls were really excited. Nice to see those pieces go to someone who appreciates them.

I’d have been gutted to see them on ebay a week later. Really happy they went to a family who appreciates them. Not just the collector himself, but even his kids were happy for him.

One day Id like to own the Hogan mailaway but I have no desire to own Bret or Taker. Just too similar (if not exact) as their regular releases.

Never would I. I'd staple a bed sheet across the top of the doorway. Mailaway Hulk will remain in my clutches. And my door sucks dog.

I regretted selling most of my CM Punk's, especially RSC Straight Edge/Masked Punk. Other than that, I regret selling my Elite 13(?) Cody Rhodes. Still have the hooded jacket, clear mask and paper bag mask, so I miss having that Cody figure. I've kept most of my more personal and monetary valuable pieces, so those are my regrets.
