I don't post here much since I don't really think an opinion of someone who buys wrestling figures so sparingly matters anymore...BUT For being so hyped and for what are supposed to be the most high end wrestling figure out there, these really miss the mark in just about every aspect. - New molds? I personally don't believe wrestling figures need a whole lot of articulation. I grew up with RA figures. The more articulation an action figure has, the less it feels like an action figure to me. There is nothing worse than figuarts level articulation. Just feels very fragile to me. - Scans? Underwhelmed. Multiple heads are cool, but regular elites also have those so these aren't anything special in that department. - Swappable ARMS? Why not just include a cloth coat? I wouldn't think a figure is supposed to have its arms removed under any circumstance. That's just strange to me. - Packaging? Toy companies really could cut a lot of costs if they scaled back package. So much dead space. This last round of Entrance Greats are a perfect example. Oh and the RED plastic? Um, what? - Totally not that relevant, but they could have gotten better names to start this off with a bang and not ANOTHER Ultimate Warrior and a chick who might be bolting after Mania (not like Mattel would have known this though). Wave 2's lineup doesn't sound much better specifically Nakamura and I LOVE Nakamura. Can't get much better than that last standard Elite with the multiple hands and entrance jacket. I really hate to sound negative online, but I just felt like venting. To be fair, the Storm or Figuarts are the high end WWE figures, but yeah for Mattel to claim these are ultimate editions, with essentially the same deco and articulation as the Elites is laughable. Also, Figuarts, figma, etc are more articulated display pieces than for a 8 year old to throw around.

I guess I'm the vast minority here, but I'm really looking forward to see what Mattel does with this line. Obviously, the line won't run long, but the potential for great figures here is just astounding.
I would love to see a fully decked-out Hart Foundation Bret, a 2000 - 2002 HHH, a 1996 - 1997 era HBK, a cowboy hat-era Randy Savage, anything Undertaker pre-2001, a proper nWo Hogan... Ugh!

To offer some counterpoints:
•I've rarely seen articulation itself make figures "more fragile". Durability has more to do with how the joints are constructed and what materials are used. You can bang around a Marvel Legends fig for example and it'll be fine. However, try to bang around a Funko 6 Inch Legacy figure and it'll disintegrate because they're total pieces of crap. I had some NECA Predator figures, the joints looked thick and solid, but then I went on to break a joint on every single one I had because they had sloppy paint apps locking up the joints.
•How would you incorporate a stretching feature into a character like Mr Fantastic, who can stretch his limbs? I think every figure can have its own quirks that make sense for it, saying removable limbs are strange is what's strange to me, especially if you mind limbs but don't mind multiple severed heads and hands lol.
•The purpose of packaging varies depending on the target audience. For example, DC Icons figures have a different target audience than DC Multiverse figures, the packages reflect that. Figures with many accessories need more room to show off those accessories while packaged. (I would rather get the figures in a baggie if it meant I paid $5 less or whatever though!)

Warrior should have three heads. The two here and one with face paint with greeted teeth. I will still get it.

A couple of years from now when it’ll be a novelty type of thing, someone whose smart will copy the classic superstars packaging (if not the name as well). That packaging would have been perfect for this line. It’s the most elegant and high end looking style of packaging abybwrestling figure has ever come in.

Looks like Amazon removed the MOC images. I’m wondering if there’s gonna be a change.

Wonder how the scale measures up to the S.H. Figures? Probably similar? Love the fact that it's just 2 per set. Very manageable. Pre-ordered Set 2 already. Even though Bret's hair is... interesting.
Can't wait for an HBK!!

Are these only available at ringside and amazon or you think target will have them as well They aren’t exclusive to anyone so any retailer can order them. Target has been carrying the Entrance Greats so it’s likely they’ll sell these too.

They don't look any better than the Elites to me. Worse in some ways with the extra articulation.
