So Professional Wrestling has had oddball, unfair, and just plain weird matches since the dawn of the sport. We've come a long way from Tag Matches being the oddity of the evening, but the one ring circus that we know, (and sometimes can't believe we love) has had no shortage of matches we couldn't believe actually happened or have proven to be some of the most random matches that virtually no one would ever think to book or think sensible to book.
One example is a Six-Man Texas Death Match I saw advertised on a poster from the early 70s. Some of the entrants were Gorilla Monsoon, Tarzan Tyler, & Crazy Luke Graham, Lou Albano and two others. I'm digging through my old clippings looking for the official line-up. The Stipulations were hilariously convoluted.
Feel free to share photos, videos, and stories of the most random match-ups you've ever seen or heard of.

There’s also an Eight Man 2/3 Falls match from NJPW and it’s the only one I’ve ever heard of

That match didn’t even happen yet and does not need to be mentioned on the Classic board. Final warning to keep the thread to classic matches. Oh how did I know a modern match would be mentioned here.

That "Wild Card" elimination match at Survivor Series was pretty damn random. Having heels and faces team up, just seemed weird.

Years ago there was a British tribute show and they advertised the legion of doom v the Rock and Roll Express. Not only was it not the real wrestlers but each “team” was portrayed by a singles wrestler. That was pretty random

I would say Bushwhackers and Tiger Jackson versus Little Louie and Beverly Brothers in early 1993. I think they did this match a few times and sure it played to the Beverly v. Bushwhackers fued from a year earlier but the attitude of the midgets was the random part. Like were these guys famous midget wrestlers at one point and where did they wrestle before? Were they under contract for a while or just brought in as needed? I know Tiger was back a little while later as Macho Midget and as Dink. Louie would come back in late 1994 as a little King with Jerry Lawler.
