They've been up now for about 2 and a half hours. If I recall correctly it took 5 hours for the previous set to sell out.

I just bought myself a set. Was on the fence about them since while I'm a huge fan of the Hasbro figures I missed out on most of the other Mattel "Hasbro" style figures because of the awful distribution of the wave. So I basically gave up after like the 2nd or 3rd set in the initial run, and subsequently passed on the first wave on Mattel Creations. But after getting my New Gen Arenas and pre-ordering the Ultimate Cody I figured I might as well try to get as many of the Mattel Creations exclusives as I can before I regret it in the future. Now I'll have to go back and try to get my hands on the older figures.

Starting to worry these might not sell out. Wonder if the same quantity was made as Wave 1? Also wonder if they will lift the 2 unit limit if they don’t move in a certain time?

I bought one. I’m glad that they’re still available because it gives me at least a scintilla of hope that the LJNs won’t sell out in the blink of an eye…but they probably will.

The hype and enthusiasm around these seems to be very low. Not in a “too little; too late” kind of way…but this set in particular feels like such a bad group. Jimmy Hart is the star no doubt but the execution of the Hart Foundation is anything but excellent. Volkoff is the Retro no one asked for and pretty much no one wanted. A very weird choice even if it was supposed to go with Sheik. This group almost seemed better off as an RSC exclusive but I could be wrong. I don’t think any of these figures will be prominently displayed in my collection but I do support it just to support the line in general. If they don’t sell out for a while, I won’t be shocked at all.

I love Nikolai, but you put in Hogan or Savage and this sells out quickly. I was able to get two with ease at 11.

I fully expect it to sell out but it's going to be slower than wave 1. It hasn't even been 12 hours yet. Some countries are still sleeping. I believe wave 1 sold out faster because more people ended buying 2 sets. I bought 2 sets of wave 1 just to show strong support for the Retros. Now that they are back with two more future sets announced I could see people scaling back to just one or holding out for wave 3 or 4.
I don't love this set overall but I still ordered one. I agree Jimmy is hands down the winner. I would have popped big for a Million Dollar Corporation style Volkoff.

I've not opened any of my retros yet but planning on taking the plunge due to finally display my figs..

All in storage boxes at this point!
I started my collection again around 8 years ago..typical 40 year old child trying to get his collection back!
I do love the hunt but the hasbros needed are big bucks..I've been thinking of customs for the green cards! That's pretty much where I'm at, 11 short of the full set, not Including mail aways..
All my mattel retros are MOC.
I don't collect anything post attitude era.
I'll get a photo on the board.
I'm honestly loving the new figures coming through and message boards like this, Fantastic.

I would have bought a second set if the Harts had been nailed the right way. Molded tops, the real Hitman shades, and 90/91 art on the card would have made two sets a must. I think this wave will sell out, but might take a day.
Was also thinking, a molded singlet Warrior would be a great Hasbro what-if to make these days.

If they don’t sell out for a while, I won’t be shocked at all. i guess it depends how many sets they planned to make, if they made twice as many as the first wave I think it will take a while to sell out. I still think they will sell out. Hopefully if it takes a while but they still all sell they will keep the numbers up for the third wave and the nwo set as i feel they both will sell better than this wave. |

I did expect them to be sold-out now (especially given how many were listed on eBay almost immediately) but this is the way things should be - selling-out in a few hours (or minutes in the case of things like the SDCC exclusives) means that they haven't made enough and have left money on the table. If they make it to the 24 hour mark then maybe start to worry - maybe. |

I was waiting to buy the first wave right at 9 AM, but I have not bought these yet. The reason is the quality -- as other said, no molded singlets etc make the Harts feel cheap, along with other features. I really wish we could pay more and get better quality -- and hope this doesn't harm the line... Action Figure Attack -- hope you'd consider upgrades for a higher price tag... |

Ordered.
I think the Anvil mold is fine - let's not forget the questionable mold choices that Hasbro used for the Headshrinkers, Kona/Evil Crush and many others. These are Retros not Elites!
Whilst disappointing the Hart Foundation don't have molded singlets, again the likes of Evil Crush in the Hasbro line were just repainted rather than retooled.
Having said that a singlet mold needs to be introduced into the Retro line sooner rather than later and it should get a lot of reuse anyway.
All in all these are great.

I was all in on the set and it was the carded image of Bret Hart that killed it for me and made me realize that I really did not like this set, which sucks as Bret Hart is one of my all time favorites!, still, it is awesome that those who wanted this set were able to easily get it.
