Is RSC serious about that shipping quote? Just reduced my order from 3 to 1 set. They really need to find a way for international shipping. FedEx appears to be no solution. They wanted to charge $12 to ship within the US to me. Not happening . SHIPFREE60 gives you free shipping on orders over $60. Until recently it was only $50

Is there a direct communication on here to anyone from Ringside to mention this international shipping rate? It's costing them a lot of business and like someone previously said is entirely made up.

Thinking of the next wave, I’d like to see hogan and beefcake (mega maniacs) and the hasbro proto hbk along with lawler, those are all around the 1993 era and would fit in perfect

I mean if ZST would get maybe Beefcake, I could see him doing it pretty darn close to the original proto, just like with Double J. If we're talking dumbed down looking Mattel versions, I'd rather just have something different. I wouldn't mind an updated HBK for sure like 94 or 95 era. WCW red/yellow Hogan would be great, or Beefcake in some colorful attire, or even the Bootyman, or Zodiac from WCW.

+1 $33.50USD for shipping to Australia. As everyone in the UK has said $33/$34 it appears they are using a flat (made up) rate. Additionally that's $33.50US for EACH SET so $67 for two etc. Get your act together and offer combined shipping. Yep. We have to keep mentioning this as about 4 years ago it was like this and they listened and offered a better shipping option. 6-12 months ago they quietly swapped it all back and here we are. It eats me alive when I get the same amount added in for each extra figure only for them to all arrive in one box with no special shipping efforts. Well said! The ammount of business they lose is phenomenal by not offering a combined shipping rate. Hopefully it's heard and adjusted asap, thank you!

Yeah, I would love a Mega Maniacs Brutus, and that HBK was one I really wanted ever since I saw it in the WWF Magazine ("UnderTake them All" picture). But you're right, I don't think the Retros would compare to the original prototypes, just look at the latest R&B Hammer. The Retros are nice figures by themselves, but it's best not to put them with the old Hasbro figures. It would be great if Mattel, or one of the other companies making these types of figures, could get close to the old Hasbro figures look, there are still a lot of figures they could make to really feel in the gaps that Hasbro missed.

Yeah, I'm glad Mattel is making them, and I hope they keep coming. But, most of them don't really fit so seemlessly with the Hasbros. Some of the Indy companies are getting closer in that look and feel. I am glad so many companies are making them now, IF Mattel keeps going and the small companies actually put out all the stuff they've shown art for, we're in for a real treat and will fill many many gaps and build out those collections.

Do we know what real attire the green/ purple mini Hasbro attire was based on? Seems to be the tights from Survivor Series 1991: EDIT: Judging at the box art, it looks like the original attire for mini Savage was going to be the Series 2/3 figures purple trunks. I'm guessing since the minis didn't come out until 1992, they must have decided to paint over the original purple trunks. Speaking of that green/purple Macho, can anyone answer what gear if any the Series 3 Beefcake is based on? It's one of my top 5 Hasbros, but I don't recall that actual gear. Is it pure fantasy? s

I think it may be a mashup; I don't remember Beefcake wearing the zebra tights with orange stripes down the side. These seem to be the most similar tights he wore. Maybe they misstook the cutouts in his tights, and his tan, as orange stripes... Especially photo #3 below.

I’ve never thought about it before, but yeah I think the orange is an approximation of the mesh bits that are cut out.

According to Toy Tracker, there was a total of 99 released figures in the original Hasbro WWF line (86 Carded Single Figures, 5 Tag Team 2-Packs, and 3 Mail Away Bagged Figures). The Mattel Retro line is sitting at 60. (64 after the Lawler set) Does it get to 100?!? https://www.instagram.com/p/Co3N7cbM8mP

I remember seeing a copy of the hasbro sketch a while back, and the drawing did resemble these tights. They even had a spot to show the mesh design on the tights.

Yeah, you're above photos do seem similar besides the orange parts. And geez did he wear some bonkers stuff when he was doing the barbers shop, he was so bloated too. I can't find a decent image of it, but if you watch his comeback match on Raw in 93 before Hogan came in, I dig that outfit with the orange and black. Wouldn't mind getting that as a retro.

That does sound like a lot when you say it out loud, but i think it's doable. There isn't a lot left to do from the Hasbro era, but enough for a couple more sets at the very least. There's still a good amount of Attitude Era names that could be included, as well as WCW. Mattel hasn't really scratched the surface on ECW and Ruthless Aggression possibilities. The first two waves of MC retros felt very LJN-inspired, so it feels like they can always go back as well. 10 more sets seems doable if Mattel stays committed to making them and we stay committed to buying them.

There’s a big window of post hasbro pre attitude to explore imo then there’s loads from attitude and wcw as you say. I mentioned in another thread “93 to 95/96 which while a downtime in the business has some of the best gimmicks from s toy respective: Mantaur, Ferguson, booger, max moon, Aldo, avatar, duke, tl hopper, goon etc”
