I’d love a new take on the Road Warriors. Maybe their Summer Slam 92 look? Crazy to me they aren’t under license to Mattel. It is indeed crazy how many full tag teams from the Hasbro era and it’s surroundings are unavailable. New Age Outlaws must happen. If they ever get access again to do LOD, my main want for Retro figures of them would be the standard red and black look but with removable red shoulder pads, the white face paint for Animal (the one from the Hasbro card), and Hawk having the clothesline body rather than the jumper. I really do wish Ringside would only do the pre-order period and then close it off after a period of time. This will keep it quite limited and highly sought after. I also really hope the next tag team set from RSC is DX. Would love it to be Shawn, Triple H, Rude and Chyna. The current Shawn Retro figure is horrendous and deserves a new fig. That would be awesome. |

DX does seem like the next logical progression in the RSC line. I wouldn’t mind seeing real tag teams though. You could maybe get some WCW teams in like Harlem Heat and the Steiner Bros, APA would be cool, but unfortunately the tag team roster isn't as full as it should be from a licensing perspective. ...what a mess 😔 |

LOVE the packaging where you can cut one little piece of tape and slide the card back off the bubble with no damage, and put them back in if you’re careful. Great option 😎
Is that an option on the RSC exclusives?
Not really an “option,” just how they are packaged. I’m a fan. |

The whole thing with Retros in themed bundles has become really exciting - I love coming into this thread and seeing the ideas from others, feels like I'm always seeing something new. The next tag team set at Ringside must surely be DX-themed since it follows the nWo set - I love the idea of an OG DX set with Rick Rude, though I expect it will be the face version, especially if Billy's availability is time-sensitive. I also think an "unofficial" DX set in the main line could be fun: i. Hunter Hearst-Helmsley; ii. 1-2-3 Kid (Million Dollar Corporation version); iii. The Roadie; iv. Rockabilly All fit with the New Gen timeline. In the past I've pitched a Mega Powers bundle in the main line: i. Hogan (Mega Powers trunks); ii. Savage (Mega Powers trunks); iii. Miss Elizabeth (yellow removable dress); iv. Brutus (Mega Maniacs) But an alternative could be a tag team set at Ringside if really wanted to load-up the star power: i. Mega Maniacs - Hogan and Beefcake ii. Ultimate Maniacs - Savage and Warrior But ultimately I guess Mattel might want to reserve Brutus for another "lost" bundle, maybe something like: i. Tatanka (white tights); ii. Brutus (Mega Maniacs); iii. Shawn Michaels (puncher); iv. Diesel (Big Daddy Cool, mostly to get him on an orange card) So much fun to fantasy book  |

I received my set today and really dig them! I have a few nitpicks as always though. One is the size of the hears and limbs. The other is the height (or lack there of) on Scott Hall. Other than that, they look pretty awesome! Great pics. The problem with the line is the heads are cartoony and sometimes too big -- you can really see them in the comparison photos. Otherwise, it's a great line overall.
This is why I switch geads with Elites/Basics. Figures look so much better. Also accessories from the Elite line can be a huge upgrade. My Styles and Austin wear both an Elite vest and have an Elite head. They look so much better this way. |
