When will be the earliest that we will hear anything from SDCC?? Do Mattel show anything before the convention or do we need to wait til the 18th?? Preview night is the 17th so there could be stuff shown then. They might have the next series out it they have prototypes ready, I think that is where series 7 was first shown. I think it will be more likely to see finished basic 100 or elite 70 then new retros. Seems likely they wont show any new retros until Thursday or Friday since they haven't even announced anything yet. You're probably right about it being series 100 or something similar. But hey, who am I to say. Could be anything. Either way Im excited af |

The WWE Mattel panel is July 18 at 11:15 PT so we will see stuff on Thursday.

Yeah I’d expect the panel to be the best chance of news; if I can get into it then I’ll see if I can ask a question about the Retros during the Q&A portion, but otherwise I’m hoping to speak to some of the guys at the booth about them at some point during the con.

So...I noticed that Rick Rude is now a character on the Mayhem phone game; just caused me to wonder whether a retro figure of him could be in the works.
Whilst he isn’t top of my list of retro wants, I think it could be pretty cool to get a retro of Rude.
But it makes me wonder what would be the best action to replicate the rude awakening?
Would it be an existing action or could a new one me created that would simulate it better?
What do you guys think?

I always like customs with Bulldog body and Bushwacker Luke 1 arms. That’s how I would envision an appropriate figure of Rude. |

Need that Hogan retro, wishful thinking. I don't collect anything apart from retro's but Hogan could make all the sets right? He's back now, and an nwo Hogan retro would be amazing and kick start every line for Mattel with new releases? |

A Rude with airbrushed tights would make my year! And yes, he had the worst hasbro body. If we don’t see a Hollywood Hogan retro this week, I’ll be pretty bummed.

My guess is they will only show series 11, maybe 12 if we're lucky. Hope we see at least Series 11 and it's 8 figures. I really think they should have 8 per series to help with distribution problems and actually get more of these into stores. Unless Mattel really is trying to kill this line, they'd be smart to do something different. And a move to a 3:1 ratio of flashback:modern would be a plus too. If we see nothing, and the line is essentially dead, it'll be a very sad day. |

I agree that there should be more assorted figures in a case. I'd be ok with 6, where the legends figures inside get 2 X each. Hoping we see actual figures as series 11 should be out be at least by September seeing series 10 was out in mid-June.

Even if we did not get 6 to 8 singles figures per case. They can make 4 newer ones and add a couple of repaints. This way collectors can get another Cena, Taker or Reigns for their collection and shelf stock will clear out quicker.

Not looking good for me to get into the Mattel panel; hopefully can make the signing at least and see if I can find someone to ask about the Retros if they don't reveal anything directly about them in the panel.

I’m confident they will reveal more info at the panel. However, I will be disappointed if the following does not happen at a minimum:
-Digital previews of Series 11 and 12
-News of accessories, playset, or a new ring
-Announcement of at least 4 other figures (even if they are repaints)
-Acknowledgement of the issues with the cards
-Getting at least ONE person from the Hasbro era that wasn’t done or that wasn’t done correctly.
